Please confirm right installation of mic plug and headphone plug in your computer-open volume control and check that the slider of mic is in up position- no mute-press option in volume control and select advanced control and in mic select advanced and select boost from other control.

The speakers no long produce sound after using the headphone jack,,disconnected jack , still no sound

When you plug in the headphones, the jack itself routes the signal away from the speakers. When you unplug the headphones, the jack has contacts that close again, routing signal to the speakers. If the jack contacts are dirty, they won't close correctly. I suspect were you to clean the contacts, you'd solve the problem.

I'm not getting any sound out of the speakers. I have sound through my headphones but cann't get anything out of any speakers.

Hi,

If you can hear the sound from the headphone(earphone jack), the fault is between the headphone itself or the speakers. Check the continuity of the speakers(voice coil) using the multimeter to determine if it is faulty or not.

If you've confirmed that the speakers are not the issue here, you may spray an electrical contact cleaner to the earphone jack of your unit while pulling and inserting the headset plug to clean the contact from dirt build-up inside. You may also replace the earphone jack with new one to back the unit in normal operation.

Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!

My headphones crackle with loud music

your headphones my be damaged or "blown-out" This is common when played at high volumes. the crackling you hear is the result of the voice coil in the driver (speaker) contacting the cone. the only way to remedy this is to either replace the driver in the headphones or get better made headphones.
personally I recommend JVC RX300 because they are loud and have good sound quality and are cheap enough that the can be replaced when broken.

I just received for my birthday, a RCA 900 MHz headphones. Followed the instructions but cannot get it to work. I tried to install it on a Hitasha TV. Can you help me?

Hi,
First you need to make a test to adjust your headphones wireless system..
.pls follow the step below:
  • "Connect the RCAheadphone base" TO " headphones output of TV" with 3.5mm stereo headphone jack cable (than Tv should mute ) RCA pilot lamp should flicker in parallel to voice coming from TV
  • RCA headphone should have 2 different rotary adjustment on it..one "Volume" and the second "Frequency" adjustment
  • while TV talking , adjust slowly the "frequency rotary dial" to catch the headphone transmitter coming from RCA headphone base, when you catch it you will hear the voice of TV,(sometimes fine adjustment makes it better ) than adjust volume properly..
  • .After this pls do not touch Frequency dial any more..Just Turn it on ,and Volume adjustment ..Thats it..
  • After completion of this test ,I recommend you to switch / use "RCA Audio output plugs-white/Red cable " on the back of TV instead of TV's headphone output ,since it mutes the whole sound..RCA output plugs work independently from the TV's master volume control..
Hope this helps!..if more help requires pls let me know.
Take care and please

I hook up the microphone and no voice sound comes out what should I do

Where did you plug the Mic ?. Most receivers do not have Mic input. Only some DVD players with karaoke have a MIc input in front. The phones socket in front of the Receiver is meant for headphones.

I have a pair of headphones that are approximately 26 years old. They are absolutley awesome headphones. One side has stopped working. Do you know if it can be repaired?

hi...seems you really it...hope this help..
since the other one is working check the defective one for a cut or open wire..
try to unscrew, and check for loose connection in the voice coil terminal
if none...using a multi tester check the coil if it has 400-500 ohms reading
if none it means it need to be replace...
replacing the coil will make it work again and still have the original appearance..
please rate and vote..good day

Headphones only have left channel on Denon AVR-588 Receiver

Hi peroty,

Two suggestions for you.

1. If you look at the headphone jack connecton do you see one or two black O-rings or black lines on the jack. If you only see one they are Mono headphones and you would only get sound out of the left side. If there are two black lines they are stereo headphones and you should get sound on both the left & right sides.

2. If after checking the headphone jack connection and there are two black lines on it then I would suggest try a different pair of headphones to see if a different set of headphones works fine.

If a different pair of headphones works properly the original headphones may be bad. If neither set of headphones work properly it may be the reciever that may need to be repaired.

I hope it's not the receiver, but let me know if you have questions.
