Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Today, as i was using my laptop (Acer Aspire 7000), all of a sudden the screen turned almost translucent with white horizontal lines (probably 0.5mm in width). The actual laptop itself froze and left a display of the program i was just on yet i was unable to move the mouse or press any buttons etc. there was then a kind of 'white cloud' which started from the outside then grew bigger inwards. This laptop has lasted me just over a year. it will turn on but only a blank screen is left and it doesnt sound like there is any loading happening behind a possible 'broken' screen. To add, it also has no flashing lights which normally would indicate a process going on. The only light which does show is the power display button.

You are going to have to replace your LCD screen. If you are technically astute, then there are instructions that I can send you... if not , then taking it to a shop would be your best bet.

My acer aspire one laptop screen is completely white how can i fix it

Power down the laptop (press and hold the power button).

Try turning it back on, and hitting the F8 key to get boot options. Start in "Safe Mode" or some other configuration that worked and see if that fixes the issue.

If the screen does not show anything at all, try connecting the laptop to an external monitor while starting up.

My laptop, an Acer Aspire 5715z, has a big ol' white patch on it with a smaller one at the top of the white one. It covers about half of the screen, and it has blue around the start of the white line.

Oh okay. Your screen is physically cracked. Its broken, its going to need to be replaced. Thats why a part of the screen is coming and then you see splotches on the screen. Looks like somebody hit directly with something or stepped on it. If you turn the laptop off and shine a light on it, you might be able to see where the crack originated.

In the meantime until you get another lcd screen, you can hook up an external monitor to the laptop and use it like that for now.

My acer aspire 4315 turns white screen anytime am using it.

It's caused by a defective LCD inverter. Very common problem.
