Browse to the memory stick drive through "Computer" on the Start Men, highlight the files you wish to copy by pressing and holding the left mouse button and drawing a box around the files. Alternatively, you can press and hold the CTRL button on your keyboard and click on each individual file. Once you have finished selecting the files you wish to copy, right click on a selected file and click on copy. Again, alternatively, press CTRL+C on your keyboard.

Next, browse to where you wish to copy these files to on your PC and the right click in an open space and select "Paste" or you can just press CTRL+v on your keyboard

How to erase memory card

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO A COMPUTER
If your photos and videos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.
The quickest way to erase the memory card. Go to the camera's Menu and scroll through the settings to Format memory card then format the memory card.

Trying to install my copy of word on netbook without cd

  • Insert a blank memory stick or card into a USB port of a computer that has a CD drive.
  • Place your Microsoft Word software CD into the CD drive of your computer.
  • Hold down the "Shift" key as you close the CD drive. This will prevent the CD from automatically installing Microsoft Word on the computer.
  • Open the CD drive. The files that are on the CD will appear in a window. Click on the first file that appears. Then hold down the "Shift" key and click on the last file so that you select all of the files.
  • Release the "Shift" key. Then hover your mouse over any file and right-click. Select the "Copy" option from the context menu.
  • Open the memory stick. Hover your mouse over the memory stick window and right-click. Select the "Paste" option to copy the files onto your memory stick. Close the memory stick and right-click on the memory stick icon with your mouse. Select the "Eject" choice from the menu to safely remove the memory stick.
  • Insert thememory stick into the USB slot of your netbook.
  • Open the memory stick . The top of the screen should have an Setup.exe icon. Double-click on this file to begin the process of installing Microsoft Word.

MY SONY CYBER SHOR DSC-W270. IT SHOWS SYSTEM ERROR WHEN TURNED ON.

    Hi,

The System Error message displays when the files on the recording media have been copied or deleted repeatedly on a computer. Backup the files on your computer, then format the recording media in the camera to resolve this issue.
Formatting the Memory will erase all the data stored in the Memory Stick.
If the error message displays after formatting the Memory Stick, then try using a different Memory Stick media. Once the Memory Stick is inserted, perform manual power reset of the Camera.
To reset the Camera, turn off the Camera and remove the battery pack.
Then, allow the Camera to remain without power for 30 seconds.
Later, re-insert the Battery pack in the Camera to resolve the issue.

    Thanks for using FixYa.

Go to My computer, and right click on the icon for the memory stick.
From there you should have an option to format the memory stick.

You can do a quick format and this will erase all files including the hidden ones that might be the onces taking up space on your memory stick.

My memory stick does not have a lock or unlock position.

Do not use the computer to erase a memory stick. If your pics are safely on the computer and you want to completely erase the stick, use the format function in the camera.

    How to?.....

You should be able to transfer the images directly to your computer without transfering them to you memory stick duo. Have you tried connecting the camera to your computer and retrieving the images? If you would rather have the images on your camera on your memory stick duo, then remove the memory stick duo connect the camera to your computer, copy the images off of the camera, turn the camera off, put the memory stick duo back into the camera, plug the camera back in, then transfer the images that you just transfered from the cybershot to your computer back to the camera. They should copy directly to the memory stick duo.
