There are 5 or six reasons for this to happen. The best thing you can do is to shut it off. Wait until the condenser and evaporator are totally thaw before restarting. Then check the filters. They should be spotless. Check that you do not have the thermostat set below 70 degrees (residential rule of thumb). Open all the vents in the house and then try again. If it still doesn't work then you will need a technician. Good luck.

I have a goodman cased evap coil that has a cracked drain pan...the service tech wants to sell me a $900.00 evaporator asm telling me that the drain pan cannot be replaced or repaired.

All you need to buy is a drain pan. Although depending on how your evap coil is encased you may have to pull the evap to get the drain pan in.

MY GOODMAN HEAT PUMP GPH1336H21AE EVAP FAN MOTOR DOES NOT WORK. THE MOTOR HAS BEEN REPLACED AND THE FUSE IS GOOD. I SUSPECT THE CIRCUIT BOARD BUT DON'T KNOW HOW TO TEST IT HELP.

Have you checked the capacitor on the unit. You will need a capacitor meter in or to check it. nI would check it first then the board. You check the board by running the one lead to the fan terminal and the other lead to the common and see if you have voltage. If you do not have voltage then the board is bad.

Any diagrams on installing a 410A TXV on a R-22 Evap coil?

You don't install a 410A TXV on an R-22 Evaporator coil.
If converting your system to a 410A, then you must be using a 410A condenser, and an evap coil, and drier rated for 410A.........

Goodman Model # cpke241AB not cooling always running

First locate the air handler.Open the access panel and you will see the evap coil. You will clean the coil in the unit,I use a wire brush and coil/evap cleaner.I dont typically clean the blower but if you must there will be 2 or 3 screws and some electrical that you will need to disconnect.then the blower assembly will slide out and you can clean it outside,Note where you disconnect the electrical connections --good luck!

Goodman mini split unit condensating and leaking inside house instead of draining outside drain tube

Hi, your evap. drain is block, i know you are smart, we can do this, remove front cover of evap.(indoor unit) check for location of screws, look carefully you will see drain connection and tray, try to clean, use mild cleaning solvent, or practical way push something flexible into tubing, also clear your air filter, and you'll be in good shape, also check leveling of evap(indoor unit), with spirit level, should be horozontally leved. good luck.

After running awhile ac blows warm and theres no water in evap tray.

Hi, Sounds like you have a leak in the lines somewhere and it is low on refrigerant (Freon). If the evaporator spends very much time below 32deg it will freeze up and you will feel very little air coming from the vents. The evaporator will have ice covering at least part of it depending on how much refrigerant is has in it. No refrigerant, there will be no ice or water. If the unit is properly charged, the larger of the two refrigerant lines at the condensing unit will sweat all the way back to the compressor but the compressor should be fairly dry. Restricted air flow will also cause one to freeze so check your air filter. If the ac tech thinks that the evap temp was ok at 22 deg, find another ac tech. 22 deg evap means its either too low on Freon, refrigerant filter drier is stopped up, a blockage in the refrigerant lines, too little air flow across evap coil or it could be that the evap and cond are sized wrong. The evap temp has to be above 32 deg. If it has Freon in it, you can use soap bubbles to check for leaks at the solder joints. Turn the unit off first for pressures to equalize. Let me know. kstfas
