Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My laptop touchpad is not working dell inspiron n5010

you will have to reinstall the drivers and the sofware in your Dell. I think since the touch pad is not working if you use the cursor keys and proceed to the control panel and try to restore the laptop, then if this will reset to an earlier date, then it will solve the issue.
try this out and check to reinstall drivers. hope this helps. Good day

How do you enable a touch pad on a dell computer. The feature disappeared after my laptop was reloaded due to a virus

Two different ways to do it...
1. Use your function keys... Combination of the Fn key (next to the Alt Key) and one of your "F" keys, look on your F-Keys you will see icons.. Look for the Touchpad Icon

Then Press Fn and Corresponding F Key at the same time to Enable/Disable Touchpad...

OR

Go to Dell.com scroll to bottom of website's home page and look for: SUPPORT AND DRIVERS.... Click on the Text and It Will Then Ask You To CHoose ... LAPTOP, or Desktop, or Tablet etc.... You Choose LAPTOP..... THen Choose THe Model from the list, then choose the model number from the list and it will then take you to Your Laptops Drivers Page... Scroll Down and Find Your Touchpad Driver and Redownload it and install it....

How do i get the scroll on the side of my dell inspiron 1525 to work again?

You will need to go to the support section over at Dell and enter in your service tag from the bottom of the laptop. You then need to look in the "drivers" section and download the Dell Synaptics Touchpad drivers and install them. That should bring your scrolling area of the touchpad back to life.

I have a dell inspiron 1525 and the touchpad is only partially functional. The left half works okay, but the right half is very sluggish. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

How about go to www.dell.com and download the Dell touch for your laptop with the operating system you are using. First uninstall Dell touch by using ADD/REMOVE in the control Panal. Then install the downloaded DELL Touch. You may need to restart your laptop. all of the touchpad keys should work now.

Good LUCK !

Touchpad not scrolling

You, someone/something else may have disabled it unexpectedly and/or unintentionally; like what happened to me :(

Solution:

- Go to Task Manager

- Go to Mouse settings and Enable "Virtual Scroll" <-- (May be called something different depending on the OS too)

Hope I helped

TDisable trackball dell inspiron 4100

This is a common problem that affected a host of dell models which had a 'trackball' or whatever the little 'nib' in the middle of the keyboard is called? You can try to remove the 'Synaptics pointing Device' in add/remove programs. This may help. There is one and only one way to fix this issue, you have to lift the keyboard and disconnect the 'trackball' thingy from the mainboard....do not disconnect the touchpad, the touchpad itself is not the problem but suffers from the drift caused by the malfunctioning ball in the middle of the keyboard. the fix above u will lose use of the 'ball' but not the touchpad, and you wont be tempted to smash the laptop off the wall . Click on this link or copy and paste the complete link into your browser. If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
