Hello

The problem is that the lens has become stuck in the barrel. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.

Use these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.

Firstly , try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.

Try holding the shutter button while switching on the camera.

Look at the lens , and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).

Try gently pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.

Another way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the camera is enough to get things going again.

Try hitting your camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of your hand.

Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair center for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to replace the camera.

If it is still under warranty I would suggest you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.

You can also have a look at THIS link.

Hope the advise is useful. please do not hesitate to let me know if you need any further assistance. Also, please be so kind to let me know if you found this helpful.

Regards
Andrea

Kodak v570 showing camere error 45 see user guide , need help pl

Error E45 is a lens stuck error and appears if there is an obstruction in the lens gears. The obstruction is usually just dust or something of the like and can be resolved by gently tapping on the camera lens with your hand. Here is a thread where I suggested the same and it seems to have worked for a lot of people

Worth a try before you send it in to Kodak for repair. Don't hit it too hard as the lens may break.

Como corregir un errror E45 en una kodak V570

The bad news is that this error means the lens alignment of your camera is messed up and it will take repair service to fix it. The cost of this might be equivalent to replacing the camera.

This error means the lens is not properly retracting or coming out..Firmly hit the lens on the palm of your hand and as it starts to retract give some gentle assistance. Turn off the camera and then back on and hey presto no error message displayed and the camera will work

Cam sayes camera error#e45 see user's guide what do i do to fix it

Solution for me: Strike the camera a few times. Error gone.

Seriously - I got this error on a very humid day. The error seems related to the lens moving mechanism. My V570 is 4 years old, not really worth the expense to fix. So .. a couple of hard smacks, and ... back to life.

Good luck!

I have a problem with my Kodak - e45,please help...

It is basically a shutter/ lens error, and all I've heard is that it's expensive. Kodak says that it means the camera "requires repair." Most people seem to throw them out rather than repair them with this problem, but definitely call Kodak and at least get a price estimate.
From the kodak website
"This error message displays when your camera requires service or repair.

Use the Interactive Troubleshooting Guide in the U.S. and other countries where it is available, to initiate/complete your repair request online.
