The tough part is I can't buy a new monitor b/c the monitor and computer are attached.....It is an all in one unit. I think I have to buy a VGA converter so I can run a monitor thru one of the USB ports.

I turn my computer on it flashes a few times and then stays black, I can not simply buy another monitor. It is an ALL-IN-ONE which means the monitor and CPU are one unit. Can anyone help with this issue, the solution give to buy another monitor is not helpful.

    Thanks,

My monitor goes blank after being on for around 10 seconds. When I reboot the computer the monitor will turn on and off and on and off again. When the computer is booted completely, the monitor goes blank....

hi

It is a little tricky problem. But anyways this is due to small capacitor leak you have to replace it to make it work well. You can identify it by seeing the top of it. See the below pix for more info.

Monitor Problem

Hi,

Then your system configuration and the Operating System are not supporting each other.
OR
If you can arrange one more monitor, try connecting it and see whether even then it goes blank. If not then the previous monitor has some problem.

Blank HP w1907

If the power light does not turn color and stay's green on startup, it is not a power problem. It is most likely the inverter. If the unit is in warranty, send it out ASAP. Contact HP customer care by email and have the issue logged in.
If in warranty, they will send you a box by FedX second day and have repaired.
This is a 19" monitor and will not be worth paying for repairs if not in warranty.

Screens works for 5 mins then goes blank!!!!!

It could also be that the video card is not compatible with this monitor. After the pc boots up, can you get into windows? Does the monitor always go out at a specific time on boot? Say for example; you boot the pc, windows startup splash screen comes on; screen does a quick flash and goes blank. Then it maybe the BIOS setting for the video. Try changing the IRQ setting. You could also try putting the video card in another slot. Do you have the manual for the motherboard? Ray
