Brother mfc-8840d: paper jam

I fear that one (or more) of the pick off fingers is broken.
Need parts source and diagram and any other help.

Paper jams. Removing the paper from the backside included a little (broken) metal piece falling to the floor, From similar prob with a HP LaserJet I conclude that it is one of the pickoff fingers that "peels" the paper off the fuser. I am fairly confident about being able to fix it IF I can get the parts AND diagram for disassembly.

Does the fuser come with an assembly including these fingers? What is the cost? Where do buy this animal?

    Thanks for the response.

The fuser gear on this fuser breaks alot. You are better off getting a new fuser if you know how to repair it.

The part # is LM2579001, dealer cost is $77.
If you send me an e-mail address I can forward you the service manual. But, you did not get it from me.

Brother MFC-8840D printer w/false paper jam indication.

With my Brother 8840D I have had paper jams that when cleared would not delete from the display nor would the machine operate until I unplugged the machine for around eight hours. I guess it is a sort of reset or reboot.

Hinge and paperfeed

You need a new hinge, #LP2403001, and the grinding is because the fuser has a broken gear.

Paper jam on my brother mfc 8440

It is possible that a small piece of paper is stuck in the paper path above the primary feed roller. It will most likely need to be disassembled.
