I am trying to find a part number for my Frigidaire Front Load Washer - Part No. FTF2140FS0. Can you help? the plastic door latch (I think it's called the Safety Door Lock) has broken off. We can't find a part number for replacement. Alisa

PAUSE commonly indicates that the unit thinks that the door is not securely latched or the cycle has been interrupted. Try pressing "PAUSE/CANCEL" or "START/PAUSE" once to resume washer. If proves to be ineffective, try reprogramming the appliance by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and turn the unit on. If the issue persists, then the washer could possibly have a faulty door latch or experiencing a communication error with the control board. I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose the washer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts.

The screws maybe stripping(wearing out) or the hinge bent, should be able to visual look at both. I hope this helps. Tim

Sounds like either the control board is faulty or the door latch sensor is not allowing the control board to communicate to the rest of the unit.

you have to inspect that switch carefully,, its actually got 2 , a secondary switch latches just before the spin cycle, I'll try and locate the part for you

Remove bottom pannel. you will see a black rubber boot.Undo the clamp that connects to the tub. Pull boot down a little and reach the top of the boot with fingers and pull out plastic coin catcher. Clean out and replace.

the door won't lock, then i broke the grey thing that the door prong or latch locks into by slaming the door. its a little plastic grey hole hole. i don't see what holds the grey plastic thing in the hole. or how to order it. can you help. ? but the door wouldn't lock before that, i think the 3 and 4 year old kids play hanging on the door. how do you fix it. 2006 afinity fron loader washer. thank you. cheryl

Door Open. if it does this when running or door closed, probably the door lock asm. also check latch on door, this plastic wears and breaks

you need a part number 5366021400 latch kit I think take your model and serial number to you local appliance dealer and they will probably have one on the shelf and its so easy to install just pull the old broken part out and replace with new one
