If you check in the application, you will be able to find an option that says; creating cd for your regular cd player, for your car or something like that. Select that option and create your cd.

The problem is the format, car stereos use a different format than computers do for reading discs. You can try formatting the burn process for the type of stereo (usually an MP format will work) or try different burning software, I've found that Nero works better than Windows for burned music CD's for the CD player in my Caddy, and I don't have to format. You might be able to find Nero at filehippo.com

You'll need to purchase music from an online site such as Itunes. You will also need a blank CDR. Once your music is loaded into Itunes it is as simple as clicking the burn to cd icon.

Need help burning pictures to disc.

Is your CD Drive working, Can you play a store purchased music cd on it? Click Start/My Computer and see if your CD drive is listed as a device. If not Remove the power cord, Remove the Case, then unplug the two cables that go into the CD drive, then plug the two cables back in. Reboot and see if your CD Drive is listed. If so, now try your burning process again.

Maybe your cd drive's write mechanism is bad.

Tried burning a music cd appeared to burn but will not play music on cd player

will not play on what cd player, the one in the laptop or another one that you have around the house? Most times when you make a cd on your computer then it will have a hard time playing on another device such as your stereo in the house or the cd player in the car.

So if it plays on your computer, it burned successfully. Plus you can always open windows explorer to look and see what is on the cd.

I want to save my picture files on the cd or dvd tape but i cant transfer it.

You need a burning software to burn your picture files, music, or video.
You can use NERO Burning ROM. Download it from HERE. You can use the "Data Burning" Feature in it to transfer your files into CD or DVD.

How do I download music onto a cd?

You will have to download the music files (MP3's) onto your local computer's hard drive first. Then using your preferred burning software, insert a CD-R or CD+R depending on your CD drive (burner). It may be dual format and burn both, but you need to use the proper CDs to burn otherwise you will get errors and they won't burn, and then follow the instructions pursuant to your burning software. I hope this helps and good luck!

Dvd-audio cd burning issue

If you are burning a "Data Disc" (the burning software should tell you or have you select it) then music will NOT work on a CD-player. It will only work in another PC.

Data disc is for files, pictures, videos, music that you want other COMPUTERS to be able to read and play.

If you want a music CD to work in a car or something like that it NEEDS to be burned as a music disc, not data.

Hope that helps.

How can i burn an audio disc that will play on a cd player and not just my pc?

Modern CD players usually can read all audio disk burned on any computer system.

If you have an older model however you may experience some problem with certain settings, follow instructions below:

1 Ensure that you burn on CD support, and not a DVD, many computer drive can manage the same way CD and DVD, and burn music on DVD, but the player won't read them.
2 Ensure that you are burning an Audio CD on the cd burning, if you will just burn your MP3 files onto a disk, an ordinary CD player won't read them, unless it has MP3 capabilities.
3 If you have an old system try burning at the minimum possible speed , systems built in 80s and early 90s where limited to low speed, some 80s CD drive could read only 2x or 4x.
4 If your system is old also chose close disk after burning option on burning software, this wont affect new cd players.

You also need a software to burn CD, if you do not have burning software , see choice on websites below:
