I have a Dell Inspiron Mini 10 no cd rom drive, when i put the netbook on ,,it shows a blue screen., i need help to fixs it............ Its on safe mode!!! I have the cd to reboot it, I just don't know...

The Recovery CD was meant to be used with an external CD drive. They just assume you'll buy one. If it's in safe mode, you should'nt have a blue screen in safe mode. In safe mode, you should be able to use the computer in pretty much the normal way.If so, then what you need to do is a "System Restore". Click the "Start" button, then "Control Panel", then "System". Near the top -left corner of the "system" box, you will see a tab labeled "System Restore". Clickit, and follow the instructions.

I have a HP Mini with Windows XP. I believe it's corrupted. It keeps rebooting. I've tried numerous things to correct the problem but I have yet to be successful. I did a system Restore but nothing change...

Try to enter safe mode by pressing F8 when it reboots. Save your files on an external drive an then reinstall Windows XP. It would also help to format the hard drive to get rid of bad sectors that potentially can ruin the system.

My toshiba mini notebook is frozen on the welcome screen.

try to reboot under Safe mode and then perform a scan disk and try to reboot in Normal mode if this would not work reboot in Safe mode again and perform System Restore and pick an earlier Date on which you do not have any problems with your notebook

My pc wont even load up. it just gets stuck on the first HP screen with press f9 or f10. it just freezes up, and i dont know what to do. ive tried pressing both of the keys but none work.

try to start it in safe mode, then you can run system restore back to see if this fixes it. when computer loads up and shows the first screen, then push f-8 before it fully loads, this will take you to the safe mode screen, choose safe mode, then when loaded run system restore back to where the problem was ok. if this does not work then I would restore windows from the backup cd. if using safe mode when rebooting, it will change back to normal.

My dell mini is stuck on welcome screen

Once you reboot, press the F8 key and boot into safe mode.

Once in safe mode, allow it to finish booting and then reboot the computer as you would normally.

This should now allow you to boot correctly into your XP.

Good luck

To start System Restore using the Command prompt, follow these steps:
  1. Restart your computer, and then press and hold F8 during the initial startup to start your computer in safe mode with a Command prompt.
  2. Use the arrow keys to select the Safe mode with a Command prompt option.
  3. If you are prompted to select an operating system, use the arrow keys to select the appropriate operating system for your computer, and then press ENTER.
  4. Log on as an administrator or with an account that has administrator credentials.
  5. At the command prompt, type %systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe, and then press ENTER.
  6. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to restore your computer to a functional state.

PC notebook will only start in safe mode.

Hi,

Try doing a System Restore, once you have booted up in Safe Mode, to a time before you had the problem.

Hope this helps
