Question about Necchi Sewing Machines
I need to know how to work this. I bought it off ebay and haven't a clue.
Do a Google search for Sewline 20 sewing machine manual. They are available for around £4.50 in the UK from a number of sources. The Sewline 20 is so similar to many other machines, so unless you are a complete newbie you don't really need to buy one. Set the bottom bobbin tension first, so that the bobbin, in the holder, drops like a spider on a thread. There is a screw that you tighten or loosen to adjust the spring pressure on the side of the bobbin carrier. Once the bottom tension is set you adjust the top tension, sewing on a scrap of material, until the stitches lock properly. The Sewline 20 is a sturdy well-built machine, very easy to clean and oil. Clear any fluff out of the needle plate area for starters if you got it pre-loved.
