I Have a Black&Decker cordless drill. VersaPak. It is a few years old but hardly used. I charge the batteries overnight but don't get enough power to drill all of the screw down. Whats the problem? New Batteries or new charger?

Thanks anyway but I feel I shouldn't have to pay to find out what is wrong with a product that I purchased from you. In the future I will stay away from your brand name. Martha

Got new Palm TX out of box (although it is actually a few years old, but was never opened). charged for 3 hrs, but as soon as I unplug power cord, it goes dead. Battery appears not to work. found another...

The batteries have a shelf life. So they can die just from sitting and not being used.

What you can try is charge it and discharge it a 'few' times (few can mean 20-30 or more or less) it can revive the battery.

Replacement battery's are cheap $15 and up. So if you got these free it is worth putting one in.

Go interstatebatteries.com . select R9-batteries-2.4V 1500mAh NiCd battery. Take the end safety caps off the old battery and install on new one you can use electeral shrink spagetty to anchor the endes on the new battery. This will work on the Novacell brand old battery.

I have the makita 18v cordless drill and can not get the bit out. It was hand tightened but seems locked.

Just hold the Black part of the makita, I understand that its an 18v drill, and it has way more torque than a 12V but just hold on to it as hard as you can while you give it some power. You should be able to get your bit out. Once it gets loosened up a little its easy after that. good luck and let me know how that turns out. The Black part should be wanting to spin towards the left. Just hold that in place. Adjust your drill to the lowest speed. Good luck and let me know if this helps

Ipaq H3835 PDA - won't hold charge??

If you purchase a new battery, they usually come with directions and special tools to change the battery. I had the same issue with 2 of mine when I got them at a used electronics store. IF it is the battery that is not working, then replacing it is easy, and you can get a replacement at your local Battery-Plus store.

In my case, one was fixed by a new battery, the other was not, and I actually had to press pretty hard in the cradle to get the second one to work. It never worked out of the cradle, so I gave that one to a neighbor kid to tear apart and see if he could get it working. (I got them for $15, so no big loss.)

Ipaq unresponsive

That's a very odd scenario. Have you tried putting it on the cradle without the battery? One possibility is that it was an incorrect battery that you put into it and it somehow fried the PDA. That's however very unlikely. Have you tried putting your old battery in it?

Just "turned off"....

Was it charging over the weekend? If not, try to recharge the device again... Those devices would on occasion drain the batter overnight -- didn't happen all the time and was apparently caused by unusual software/applications combinations... The battery could be going bad again as well.
