This was taken from:

http://www.mio-tech.be/EN/support/269-plus-support-overview.php

As of today, all Mio devices of which the battery can not be swapped by the client are subject to a change in the warranty terms. The battery warranty is extended from 6 months to 2 years from date of purchase. This change applies to following devices: Mio 168, Mio 268(+), Mio 269(+), Mio C220, Mio C250, Mio C320(t), Mio C510(E), Mio C520(t), Mio C710, Mio H610, Mio P350, Mio P550, Mio 339, Mio 558 and Mio A201.
This change in the battery warranty does not apply to following devices: Mio 8390, Mio 8870, Mio A501, Mio A701 and all future phones.

Contact Mio for a replacement, although if you are ambitios you can get a battery from ebay and install yoursellf, however doing so would void your warranty.

Hope this helps

How do I open the back cover?
(The P350 is no longer under warranty and the local rep (Israel) charges almost the cost of a new one.
    Thanks

My mio 320 is stuck on transfer mode when connected to charger it thinks its connected to computer

I've had a lot of issues w/ the operation of my MIO C320, including this problem ... but ONLY whenever I tried using any other mini-USB cords (like from my phone or Garmin GPS chargers), with my MIO C320. There's something unique about the mini-USB pin-out configuration MIO uses that allows you to either charge or update their units (using the transfer function), using MIO's supplied mini-USB cables. (I've labeled my MIO cord as "MIO GPS", on a piece of masking tape wrapped around the cord.) I'm trying to recall whether the MIO's cords worked properly w/ all of my other devices, and I can't think of any that did NOT function properly. So, maybe you could experiment and - if that's the case w/ your devices also - avoid further issues by keeping JUST the MIO's charger in your vehicle?. Sorry this is so late, but I hope it helps! Cheers, The Foxxx

My TOM TOM G920 battery doesnt hold charge for more than 5 minutes i think it needs a new battery I want to know how to replace the battery

QUick and dirty this is how it should go. Might be a little different so use some caution.
1- Remove the 4 screws from the outer corners of the gps unit. These are on the back in the corners.

2- Try sticking a small (JEWELERS/PRECISION) screw driver between the two halves of the case. There are small snap locks around the case, these are what you are trying to get to open up.

3- When you get the two halves seperated do not pull them apart. Look carefully inside you might see wires running to tha back half of the case, check on these and see where they go and what they are connected to. If you are lucky they are just speakers and they will have a quick connect on them.

4- Once you have the case seperated, the battery should be right there, remove the battery and install the new one. NOTE-- IMPORTANT sometimes you cannot get the right battery but you can get the same one but with a different end on it. IF YOU are CAREFULL you may be able to get the end off the original battery and put it on the new one.

Hope this helps you out and good luck.

My tom tom wont turn on where is the reset bitton

look for a small hole on the outside case near the sd card reader. might need a paperclip or pin to poke the microswitch inside the hole. simply clicking the switch doesn't work, try holding it for 5 seconds then try to power up. Common problem with GPS devices, (my mio included) is after being plugged in for a long time, the battery life becomes nil and it relies upon the charger. Check tom to xl for further problem solving. google search TOM TOM XL won't power up.

MIO DIGIWALKER NOT TURNING ON

I have fixed my son's unit twice with the same problem ove the last 18 months.
First remove the 4 screws from the corner on the back.
Then gently pry the back off being careful of the speaker wires attached to the main board.
You can't miss the battery as it's the biggest thing there. Follow the wires to the plug which will probably be hidden under a piece of black tape. Unplug the battery and let it stand for 10 minutes. Plug the battery back in and reassemble!

Mio fails to charge and doesn't work

Hi,
it may be a battery problem, USB charger problem or something. Why not call them and ask? They are nice (you can tell them I told you so). Look up the number at

Hope it works
