Mandolin Food slicer

I have an apparently German-made mandolin with what looks like a base (no cutting features) a large thing approximately the same size with a largew opening and an arrow shaped blade and 3 other small blades which I assume correspond to the other two blades for type of slicing and thickness. This was bought YEARS ago by my long deceased mother for $1.89. Does anyone have any clues? Thanks Lorna
