How to descale a polti AS700? It heats up well, but runs out of steam before the water. There is sludge in the bottom of the tank.

SOURCE: Polti Vaporetto 2400: Water out light comes on when tank is full

Hi you need to put 5ml of Kal Stop fo Polti machines into 1000/1500ml of water into the tank, The stronger solution is better (1000ml) Let it heat up and this should break down the limescale on the solenoid. I tried this today and it has worked saving ££££'s in repair by Polti.

SOURCE: polti 1500 no steam just droplets of water

hello, i had also the same problem.
i disconnected the hose. there is a small hole where the hose connects.
i put there a litlle screwdriver in few times in and out. and then the steam came.
the polti must be switched on and heated up before you de this.
be carefull, when you put the screwdriver in, the steam can come on your hands and face.

That means that you need to replace the pump belt. Here is the belt you need and a manual you can view:

Polti Steam Generator heating up but no steam coming out?

Polti have many models. All question need 'make model (what it is)' as the first 3 words in every question. Otherwise it is a but of a guess.

If it is getting hot, then it should be producing steam. There can only be on reason and that is that something is blocked with limescale. Has it ever been descaled?

https://www.fixya.com/support/r26134544-cleaning_laundry_iron

If it the type that has a hot flat iron and a hose to a steam generator tank, then it is possible that the element has failed. It is worth descaling that unit as well just in case there is a blockage down there. Add the descaling solution and turn it on for 5 minutes. Turn it off, leave 5 minutes and give it a shake every 5 minutes for 30 minutes. The descaling solution will only remove scale from places the solution touches.,

Why no steam on polti 715 no steam

I had this problem, that is, my Polti 715 would not create an steam at all. It turned out that the boiler/steamer unit inside the Polti was badly corroded. So the only way to fix it was to replace the boiler/steamer unit inside. I had to send my Polti to an authorized repairer to have it fixed. The reason for the corrosion was that I did not follow the manufacturers instructions fo run the Kalstop solution through the machine every few months to stop calcification in the boiler.

Steamer

Try running a phial of Kalstop through the boiler to descale the boiler unit. Calicification in the boiler and on the controlling solenoid can cause the unit not to produce steam. My boiler unit was so corroded that I had to get the boiler container completly replaced.

Polti 1500 no steam just droplets of water

Before trying anything else make sure you turn up the pressure control knob in the direction of the + sign if it is turned right down you will have steam in the system and the gun will be heard to click open the flow control valve but you will not get any steam because the control screw is set too low just turn it anti-clockwise to increase the flow and your good to go .I hope this helps I have one too and I some times forget to turn up the flow and wonder why for 3 minutes then realise that during storage and manuevering it gets turned down by accident and i turn it up and all is well again.
