The length of line set can dramatically effect the efficiency and operation of the air conditioner. There is a science behind the design and application of the different sizes. Refrigerant carries oil in it as well as the refrigerant itself. The length can change the amount of oil that is supplied to the compressor. The length of pipe can change the indoor coil's ability to flash to vapor gases.

The instructions that came with your unit should be able to simplify this for you. There will be minimum and Maximum lengths and possibly even some graphs and tables to study.

Fujitsu unit outdoor model AO54UJBMR central controller flashing EO 25. PFC over current. Carried out a power reset. running current is 20.2 A unit is drawing 20.2A. How do I diagnose this fault?

If you are drawing the running current then you are at maximum current and this is likely causing the trip off, increase the available line current reading, rewire it or run 220 volts AC if it has an option for that voltage. use that voltage..

How do i sync a fujitsu ar-dl2 air conditioning remote with air conditioning unit

Here is a link to current units: http://www.fujitsugeneral.com/PDF_06/OperationManual/(OM)ASU24CL-30CLX-36CLX.pdf
there is no indication that synching is required for OEM remotes, just chack and make sure the batteries are good. If it is a universal type remote, the remote manufacturer provides those instructions.

I purchased a new Goodman AC/Heat inside and out side units, am getting ready to run the wiring to the sub panel, Not sure what wire to use from the main braker box to the sub box have found different...

http://www.encorewire.com/docs/amp%20voltage.pdf is a diagram of what size wire and type you need for different amperage. As you can see the 10/3 recommendation is good for a maximum of 30 amps in copper and 25 in aluminum.

I haven't found the CKL36AR36 installation guide, so I don't don't know which circuit breaker size you need to install. But it should be listed in your installation guide that you got with your unit. Make sure that you have the correct disconnect within 6 feet of the unit to meet code.

I need to relocate the outside compressor unit for a Sanyo R410A A/C. What is the maximum length for the line from outside to the wall unit?

what size unit are you relocating? 25 feet is the normal but you can go longer just have to add more freon than the unit require's or go to a bigger line set.... manufactor can tell you max distance or line set sizing to make this work for you..........

Hello, I have a Calvinator A410 unit that I am working on it is a heat pump, I had a leak remove freon and vacummed for around 5 hours. Having a problem charging the unit as a thermo protect on the...

There should be a name plate with the model and serial # which will tell you what the factory charge is for the unit plus 15 to 25 feet of line set. If you weight in the charge you should be pretty close...... In AC mode you should run around 125# suction and about 265 head pressure with 70 degree ambient F. If you have the right charge in the heat pump and you are still running 25# suction pressure in the Air Condition mode then you have a restriction filter drier or TXV locking up..... Did you replace the filter drier when you fixed the leak was the leak on the suction side if so then you definitely need to change the filter drier.

Have a 4horsepower neo plasma split that keeps tripping out the fuse in the meter box.have had air con guy out and he says the 14 amp fuse is not sufficient for this air con even though it has run on it...

Please note your fuse wire must be 2 to 3 times of running amps. Suppose running amps is 6.5, the fuse wire must be minimum 15 and maximum 20 amps. Always choose the maximum.
Other chances for fuse blown;

And in your a/c, If your fuse tripped as soon as compressor starts, check compressor winding with ohms. In between 2 terminal it should be equal in 3 phase compressor. In single phase compressor, SR must be the total of other two.If any huge difference it means winding weak. If any ohms reads between any terminal and grounding it means compressor grounded for which you have to replace compressor.
Hope, it's helpful?

first thing you need to check is if the reversing valve is working you maybe running your A/C with the heat strips on depends on the t-stat your using some heat pumps will bring the strips on with a high degree difference in setting and room temp .

1- turn t-stat to heat set temp 10 degrees above room temp if you have a programable t-stat it will have a time delay on it allow to for the outdoor unit to come on 2 to 5 minute usually .
2- walk around to the outdoor unit when it comes on feel the big line the insulated one and see if it is hot or cold let it run for a 5 minutes peel back the insulation and gently grab the line with your hand it maybe real hot so be careful if this line is hot then your heat pumps is working mechanically and if it is just warm then you may need the charge topped off

there are so many different option's from this point i will need to know the findings of this test first thanks : Michael

Pipe size is okay, not that I know any better than the manufacturer, but I would recommend at least two and possibly even three oil traps in the vapor line on the way back up.
