Sounds like a faulty motor you will likely want to have it serviced.
Thanks,

E30 means no motor action, suggest you check the motor brushes, checkout the hotpoint web site, www.hotpoint.co.uk then click on after sale service it gives lists of fault codes etc.

This problem may be wiht the inlet valve or the sensor that senses the pressure may have the fault so check that..........first of all check the valve

Good Day,

E30 means the motor isn't working on this machine. There used to be a 7.5 amp fuse on the power modules on these micro processor controlled washing machines which used to blow if the motor went faulty.

It could be that the brushes have worn out and the motor has blown the fuse. This can happen if they spark excessively but it can also happen if the armature goes down to earth, or the armature is faulty. You really need to test the insulation of the motor though with a specialist meter (megger)

Good Luck & hope this helps

E35 Pressure sensor indicates water overfill.

  • dewan nafees ahmed Jun 30, 2008

    the water is over filling.

there is nothing to drain it.

this can be the failure or any one the two parts.

    one is the pressure sensor.

    other is the inlet valve

  • dewan nafees ahmed Jun 30, 2008

    this would cost you some.

100$ for the service charge and the part cost will be below 100$ sir.

this is not a big problem. but it keeps repeating fro many customers.

dont forget to accept MY solution if you go by it.

    thank you

  • dewan nafees ahmed Jun 30, 2008

code e30 means motor fault. this can be just

    • motor brushes,

    • tacho fault

    • module fault.
can't narrow it down more than this - you will have to
    dive in and check

Error 30 (on Hotpoint) just means the motor isn't working. Several
things, including the power module, can cause this. The most common
cause though is worn carbon brushes. There is also a 7.5 amp fuse on or
near the power module, which can blow. This fuse is on the motor
circuit to protect the circuitry of the power module. If it blows, then
the motor won't work and you will get error 30.

    help for fitting carbon brushes.

please dont forget to accept the solution

Hi-

The error pertains to a main board problem, the only troubleshooting step recommended is hard reset- turn it off and unplug then after a few hours turn it back on- if you are getting the same error still- my suggestion is for you to call your manufacturer. Best i got! Thanks for using Fixya!

    for E-30

    E30/31:
Motor problem - check motor brushes, drive belt, tachometer or
tachometer magnet, motor relay or PCB (TRIAC motor control).

Maytag Neptune washer , when I turn it on for a 35 min wash , it works for about 12 min , then tunes off , with a lc on it , ? it just sets there and does nothing ,

"lc" may mean "load capacity" meaning too much weight in the drum. Wash time may be variable, and the load amount too! Experiment with you "wash time" feature, it may be for lighter loads ONLY. Get a user guide for your machine would be my call.....
