I have an xbox 360 system which i've owned for 2 years. I switched it on last night and the screen went green. When i loaded another game green square pixels broke up the graphics. I switched off the console unplugged the cables and hard drive but this made no difference. The screen went black and in several languages it told me to contact xbox support. The power light display had one red light. I have been advised i can send my console to microsoft for replacement can you tell me how i do this please?

If your using the hi-def cable(red blue green) check that its switched to either standard of hi-def. Also if your using the hi-def cable it wont work if u have the white head in the same time as red blue green! Hope it works for you!

I have 2 rings problem

You've already deduced that 2 red rings means overheating. Here is a list of what to do to make sure there is no external reason for the overheat. It's all pretty obvious stuff but it sometimes helps to go through it methodically (My friend had his sat on the carpet - he got 2 red rings after about 3 hours)

  • Don't block any ventilation openings on your Xbox 360 console.
  • Don't put your Xbox 360 console on a bed, on a sofa, on a carpet floor, or on any other soft surface that may block ventilation openings.
  • Don't put your Xbox 360 console in a confined space, such as a bookcase, a rack, or a stereo cabinet, unless the space is well ventilated.
  • Don't put your Xbox 360 console near any heat source, such as a radiator, a heat register, a stove, or an amplifier.

  • As it happens my X360 has been sat on top of my Amp for 2 years although I rarely have it switched on :P

    Freezes, hot, green screen

You need to have the problem fixed by Xbox itself. This is a hardware issue and cannot be fixed manually. You might have to spend some money but if you want to play games it's a risk your going to have to take. Try to not turn your system on or off as this may damage it even more or even fry the hardware in it.

Resident Evil 5 freezing on loading screen

I don't know if the disks have a flaw but if you tried two brand new games both with freezes is sounds like it's your 360.

    Pipboy screen alignment off

I had this issue, but the only difference was, my pip-boy would go CRAZY bright green, however the only sad thing is, you will have to restart from your last save, there is no fixing this, there is many glitches I have found through-out the game..Just make sure you save frequently. BTW if you have any further questions about Fallout 3, just post more questions, I read these quite frequently, I have a lot of expertise in basically about 99% of Xbox available games :)
Let me know how it goes, nine_iron88

    Xbox 360 problem

If you can still HEAR sound, but can't see. Check your Audio Video Cable.

It's the colorful one (red, white, yellow) (red, blue green, white, red)

Make sure the connections are secure into the back of the TV as well as the connection to the back of the Xbox 360.

Blank screen on Xbox 360 sometimes

I've had this happen twice now and both times my warranty has just expired by a month, i spend and hour moanin on the phone to xbox but they still want me to pay over £80 to fix it!

So here is what u do; **** and moan to all your friends impotently about it, look at the xbox for long periods of time with distain while muttering insults to yourself, call Bill Gates a complete W**ker repeatedly for a few days and then swallow ur pride in a big lump and end up payin for the damn thing while emtily promising yourself that if it happens again your not getting another one! When it finally does happen again (one month after the warrenty runs out to the day no doubt) repeat the prosses!
