This is a stuck contactor relay. The points of contact have welded themselves closed. If it is turning off and on then the problem is in the control wiring. Both problems should be addressed by a licensed technician. Good Luck!

Mitsubishi ac keeps on turning itself off

If the compressor overheats, the clixon circuit will shut off the power to the motor to prevent damage. Then when it cools it will close the circuit and the compressor will again run to only shut down again.
The suction line going to the compressor should be cold - the cold gas returning to unit cools the hermetically sealed motor. If that line is hot you may be low on refrigerant.

My magic chef model ctn1911gew is not working properly makes a clicking sound and is not cold at all and fan on bottom is not running. please help

Are we talking about the fan near the compressor? It is important to know if the compressor itself is running. If there is a loose connection to the compressor via the start/over load relay (normally attaches directly onto the compressor), or if the start/over load itself is bad the compressor will not run. It will click trying to turn on untill the over load gets hot Check to see if your compressor is really hot. Could be bad start/over load relay or bad compressor. Try unplugging your frig for say 30 min then, with your hand on top of a cool compressor, plug the frig back in and see if compressor smoothly vibrates for at least 5 min without becoming very hot or shutting off even though fan continues to run. The fact your fan is not running could itself be the problem. It is needed to keep the freon, and the compressor cooled.

I have a 2002 C320, and my A/C compressor sometimes doesn't turn on. I have to switch the A/C on and off several times before it turns on, or sometimes it turns on by itself after 30 mins or more. When...

There is a possibility that there is not enough gas pressure in the system. The a/c compressor will protect itself by not allowing connection if the pressure is low. When the vehicle has run for a few minutes, and engine compartment gets hot, a/c gas pressure increases, allowing the compressor to turn on. With the engine turned off, test the a/c compressor clutch by applying 12 volts to the contacts. You should hear a click of the clutch engaging, and if not, the clutch is acting erratically.

Fridge/Freezer keps turning itself off

Pull the refrig out and remove the back panel . If the fan motor , cooling the compressor is working , then the overload/relay is bad . This is the piece plugged onto the compressor , with 2 or 3 wires attached to it . You can easily replace . If you had given the brand and complete model number , I could have given you the part number .

If the fan is not running , the overload will click off , thereby , causing the compressor to get too hot , making the overload click off .

Compress dose not turn on

If all electrical is correct going to the a/c unit then there are four possible causes as to why this the compressor does not turn on. 1. Bad Capacitor (most common) 2. Low refrigerant/ High pressure cut-off (unit protecting itself) 3. Bad compressor (ground short within the compressor) 4. Compressor blow out - one of the three wires may be burnt off where the leads enter the compressor.
Be sure to turn off power disconnect before servicing unit!!

Kenmore side by side compressor keeps getting hot

Your fan is stalling which in turn is over heating the compressor causing it to shut itself down. Replace the fan and make sure the coils under the fridge are clean. That should take care of the problem. Good luck

Rough Idle 2000 ford Taurus OHV

This could be a bad a/c compressor or compressor pulley bearing.Try removing the serpentine belt and turning the compressor by itself. The bearing should turn very easily, and the compressor itself should turn.If it is vety hard to turn,it is bad.

The compressor only turn on once (GE AHH40LHG1)

before you go to fix it, what is the setting it is at? What is the tempurature of the room it is in? If the setting has been satified the unit has done it job and if it is too cold in the room it will not operate properly either.

Motor never turns itself off

If by motor you mean the compressor itself then no, it should not run all the time. The compressor should run until the thermostat senses the temp. is at where you set it then turns off the compressor. A couple of possible things... if the unit has a leak in the refrigerant then it may run almost continuously since it can barely reach the cold setting you have selected. Or the temp. sensor thermostat may be bad and the unit doesn't know to turn off. There is also a defrost cycle that happens about every 12 hours for a few minutes (depending on make/model on how it works) but that should also turn off the compressor and fans until the defrost cycle is completed. Basically it should turn off when the temp. setpoint is reached or when it's in the defrost cycle.
