This tv is my grandmothers that she gave to me. we have had no problems with it until now. with =out warning the picture and the sound have completely stopped. the power led will light up green but nothing happens. what do i do?

If the components you are connecting to the tv set are working but the picture quality is the problem, then it sounds to me like you are connecting them to the correct inputs, just your connections or cables don't have a good connection. My visio never gave me a perfectly clear picture (like you see at the store) from my satelite or any other input, until I used an HDMI cable for the connection.

I am very sorry to hear that and I will do anything I can do to help. Your TV has burnt out and now it is of no use. Try to see if you have a Warranty on it.

you have a theft system module on board that could possibly be going bad but you will have to have it serviced by the dealer

Yep, I solved the problem. The TV gave up the ghost and finally no picture, just sound. Great deal on TV at WalMart and got a thin, light LCD 27" TV. Now, all I have to do is store this big heavy TV until unlimited trash day. Thanks for the help.

YOU HAVE A MODEL THAT HAS A FACTORY DEFECTED POWER SUPPLY.I HAD SAME ISSUE BUT KEPT DIGGING AND CAME UP WITH THE SAMSUNG CUSTOMER SERVICE @1800SAMSUNG GAVE MY SERIAL NUMBER AND MODEL AND FOUND OUT THERE WAS FACTORY DEFECT THAT THEY WILL SEND OUT A TECH TO REPAIR FREE OF CHARGE.THE STORE I BOUGHT IT FROM DID NOT HOWEVER HAVE THAT INFORMATION UNTIL I GAVE IT TO THEM ......WINK WINK

This isn't gonna help you, but I have the same problem on my 62HM15A, think we have about the same tv, widescreen DLP,?

My TV does the same thing powers with a blining lite then powers off. First it powered on with sound no pic, then would shut down and power up again with pic and sound , now i gots a nothing just powering on and off until i shut the thing off manually.
