If your camera ever had any menu in English, you can find in the manual (still online) how to switch the language. Could take a while to see how may times you have to click, but can be done. If your camera never was in any other language, you could have a Japanese version. These come with only one language, so the can't be changed. Could be possible you can't even put an eventually brought out firmware update, with all languages.
If you cant read it and have an android smart phone, download Google translate. You can use the camera on the screen and it will translate on your phone. You will have to set up the app to translate from Japanese to English.
Press the MENU button. Use cursor-left/right to select the settings tab (not the camera icon). Use cursor-up/down to select the seventh item on the menu and press the OK button.
There is apparently no way to perform a factory reset on this camera that is documented. As a result, you will need to look at the user manual and count the number of arrow key presses that you will need to do to change the language selection back to English.
