I have a Pioneer VSX-5900S receiver. My parents were using it and kept it in a closed cabinet. The unit still works but the display is out. I pulled the display out and a little bulb in the upper left corner looks fried. Would this bulb be replaceable? And wouldthis fix the problem? Any ideas appreciated. Thnx.

No cengter display or sound

I also have the problem of no center display but I do have sound.

On my avr 7000 I am sure that the display is not functioning but on yours try holding the middle select button for three seconds as in the manual this is how you turn the display brightness back on.

I have no clue why they have made it able to be turned off lol

I just bought a used jvc rx9010. it powers up but no sound from any speaker and shows headphone all the time what should a layperson check???

No speakers are selected if just headphone is displayed. Press the speaker button just under the power button. No station is tuned when auto muting is displayed. Hook up an antenna to the receiver or use a different source like a cd player.

I have a JVC RX 554v Receiver when it's turned on I have no sound their is a mute auto light that's lit in the window....Tried changing the speaker wires with no results...

From the remote control only: Press MUTING to turn off the sound through all speakers and headphones connected. "MUTE" appears on the display and the volume turns off. To restore the sound, press MUTING again. Turning MASTER VOLUME or pressing VOLUME +/- also restores the sound.

From the manual:

The demonstration will activate the first time you turn on
the power. When the demonstration starts, the following

Kenwood surround sound system VR-615 MAJOR PROBLEM!

It is turning on but these units have a known issue with the display.

I had the display going dark problem on my VR-615. I found the post listed below and was able to use the information and re-solder the connections. My display is now working again!

No Sound

when the amp is turned on does the unit make a clicking sound a few seconds after the display lights up.

if not the amp's is not happy with it's power or could have a speaker short. Check the display for a fault warning.

Otherwise check you speaker connections.
confirm that and A and B main speaker buttons are correct.

Try some headphones, if you get sound out of the headphone things might not be too bad, if nothing is output remove all your cables and try again.

Yes I know that can be nasty, so label all the cables first.
