I can't locate information specific to the 210XW, but hopefully this generic Bearcat programming info will help:

1. Press the MANUAL key to advance to the channel that you wish to reprogram.

2. Enter the new frequency, including decimal point.

3. Press the ENTER or E key.

4. Start over with step one to continue programming channels.

Programing for uniden bearcat scanner bc 144xl

danval, I looked up a pic of your scanner and it is pretty straightforward. If it is the 16 channel I was looking at, here is the step by step programming.
1- Push manual button to go to the channel you want to start programming.
2- Enter the freq number in.
3- Push the E button to enter it in the memory.
4- To review what you programmed, push the Review button.
5- Use manual button to step to next channel and start over from #2
That should get you started with the scanning hobby.
The scanner has a Priority button that when activated will stop scanning and go immediatly to the priority channel if someone keys their mic.
If you need freq's (or more of) for your area, go here and click on your state and county and it'll give you a complete listing.

I need to know how to program channels into it

HI again, the 248 is only a 50 channel, do you need this info for the 860? If so, I answered in your other post, but here it is again.

Hi tina33, I have an 860 scanner, and this is how I do it. If there is no freq's in there yet, start on channel 1 and punch in the freq- hit E and it will enter it into the first channel. Hit manual to go to ch 2 and repeat. If you need freq's for your area, go here and search out your state and county and it'll give you a list of freq's for your county. You do not have to add the weather channels as their in there already, just hit the weather button. I use an external antenna on mine as it extends the range and allows me to pick up the cars as well.

If you need a book for your scanner, you can get one here, just print1.gif it out.
