Try shutting the system down.. turn it on then wait for the red light to appear. Push and hold the power button down and wait until it beeps... it will reset itself and turn back on and should be fixed... THIS may take a few times.

When setting up my home theater system, do I want to plug the HDMI cable into the TV in the HDMI In slot or HDMI out slot. Do I want to plug it into the HDMI In slot for the blu ray system or the HDMI...

You plug the home theater system into the television's hdmi in slot. However you want to plug the blu ray player into the HOME theater system's hdmi in slot not the television's.

Then you can take another hdmi cable and connect the hdmi out from the television into another hdmi in on the home theater if you have enough room.

How to Hook Up HD AV Cable?

High definition multimedia interface cables are a type of audio/video (AV) cable that hook between your electronic media component and television. HDMI cables allow transfer of high quality audio and video signals between devices with the use of a single cable. HDMI is widely used with current generation video game systems, Blu-ray video players, and high-end video playback hardware. In order to make use of HDMI cables, your television must be compatible with the proper HDMI ports present on the set.
First, plug the HDMI cable into the port located on your media device. Then Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into an available HDMI slot on your television.
Switch the output on your television to the HDMI slot you have the cable connected to.

Need hdmi video card for gateway 510x i have one pci slot open No APG slot I want to us my 42'' hdtv as monitor. Also, looks like the gatewat slots on on the wrong side. Can I flip the card over?

I'm guessing you have a PCI-Express slot in your computer. In that case you can buy almost any PCI-Express video card these days and have it output to your HDTV.

Newegg's list of HDCP-capable video cards

What you're really looking for isn't a "HDMI" capable video card really, since all video card with some sort of digital connection, DVI, DisplayPort, can all be converted to HDMI using a converter even if you doesn't have a HDMI connector built in.

What you need is a card that is HDCP-compatible, which is the encoding/encryption for HD content output. Almost all new video cards now have it. So you shouldn't have a problem.

As far as inserting the card... they're often placed differently depending on chasis and motherboard, but you shouldn't have any issues with that either.

How do i hook up a nintendo to my tv which cords go where and can someone walk me through it

Round peg into the round hole. Red peg on the red slot. etc. If the wire from the nintendo doesn't fit the slot on the tv then you're in the wrong slot. if the wire from the nintendo fits the slot on the tv (and is the same color if you are using red/white/yellow rca cables) then you're good. here's a hint on connection types (you will not mix): 1. RCA (red/white/yellow round connectors) Red=right audio sound White=left audio sound Yellow=video connect to the slots that look like they want some. 2. Coaxial (stiff cable with a pinner poking out of the end -- same cable that connects you to cable tv) just hook it up by itself; it carries audio and video. 3. Component (red/green/blue)(red/white) two 'bundles' red=red component of video green=green component of video blue=blue component of video red=right audio white=left audio 4. VGA + (red/white) VGA=video (computer monitor cable) red=right audio white=left audio 5. HDMI (flat hdmi cable. you spent $30 on this 3 foot ****) HDMI=audio and video 6. hugs and kisses hugs=video kisses=audio (both sides)

I have a 40in sonybravia KDL 40v4100, 1080p. No hdmi and audio w

HDMI is a video AND audio cable. It carries both at the same time. Typically with a laptop, you have to go into your audio settings and indicate HDMI audio enabled / set ON or whatever your software has. If you use a VGA connection, then you would use a separate audio hookup say from the earphone out on the laptop to the VGA's audio input port on the HDTV. Its all in the settings on the HDMI capable laptop.

Hdmi cord

the HDMI cable sends all the audio and video down one line, and unscrambles scrambled high def content when required, and fits in the rear of the tv, the slot looks very similair to a usb slot.

If you cable box has an HDMI slot you can use that instead of a scart lead and choose HDMI on your tv output
