My air conditioner is working in somuch that it gets cold and or hot as I need. What it does not do is come off demist and feet when the dial is turned. What can the problem be and is there a step by step...

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. You probably have a bad climate control switch. To be honest, I do not know how to fix this step by step. I do know you probably need a new switch because it is not working when you turn the dial. You may be able to take off the knob and turn the dial with pliers to the correct setting. This would get you by for the time being.

I need to find a owners manual for the Optimus H-5300 space heater. Preferably printable. Thanks,

The manual will do you do good :( Just opened my unit and read the manual. It's completely inadequate on the operation of the 3 buttons and dial. No explanation as to what they do. Refers to a selector knob for the heat settings when they are toggle switches.

I got online hoping to find some usable info LOL I attached a scan of the 2 important pages of the worthless manual.

How do you set the temperature

If you have an air conditioner with a temperature display, use the up or down arrows on the touch pad to change the temperature setting.

However, if you have an air conditioner with only a dial that goes from 1 to 8 (or whatever number), turn the dial up as high as it goes and put the fan speed on high. When the desired comfort level is reached, slowly turn the dial down until the compressor just shuts off. You will be able to hear when this happens.

If the temperature gets a bit too warm turn the dial up in small increments and wait an hour or so to see if your comfort level is reached.

Your system does not have a high pressure switch. Look to a voltage supply problem.

Duro Therm air conditioner

Most likley this is caused by a pressure switch dropping out then making again after the pressure drops off. Try cleaning your coil on the outside on the roof as most likley it is a high pressure switch causing this problem.

Duo Therm Thermostat

Hi there

I think this is a setting on your air conditioner, the air conditioner will turn off when the room is at the correct temperature and when the room starts to warm up, the air conditioner will turn back on. (You need to find the settings and change them from auto-adjust to manual-adjust)

Keep us posted and thank you for using our service.
