Question about 3M Projector lamp Projector Lamp

Green Screen I have a 3M MP7750 projector and for no apparent reason the screen goes green. Is it a problem with the bulb? I would rather not spend £300 on one if thats not the problem!!

Replace your RGB Cable. If the cord is crinkled an internal wire may be broken or if pin 7 is missing or bent, the green ground can be lost. It is not a problem with the bulb. The RGB cable can be purchased for much less than 300 pounds.

Black dots projected on my 3m scp716 projector

Actually, this is a known issue with this specific model as 3M has acknowledged. We bought 4 of these and 3 have had to be replaced in 3 years because of this exact issue. It requires the mainboard to be replaced and it is almost as expensive to do this as to buy a new unit. 3M has been know help to us on this even through we bought the entire setup (Projector, Arm, Smartboard) and spent over $15000.

When i put a new bulb in my projector panasonic ptae1000 its shows green how do i fix this

A new bulb may just be showing up a problem that wasn't apparent with the lower brightness coming from an old bulb.
Try putting the old bulb back in and look very carefully and see if the problem is still there.
If the green is uniform over the whole screen then it may be fixed by setting a colour level change in the menu.
If it varies over the screen then it is probably a polarizer affected by age and heating.

Green Screen

Not bulb related, it is related to the i/o board on the back of the projector. Something is shorted or making poor connection

Green screen projection

This is the exact same issue as I described for an Epson user. So I'll repeat it here.

I assume this is an LCD. I don't remember the s4 being a DLP projector.

This sounds like the LCD panel used for the green color has gone out. The image is made up of red, green and blue images layered upon the screen. If the green panel has gone out then there is nothing filtering out the green light in the image. This causes a nice green hue to the whole screen.

It could be a simple open and reconnect fix. I personally have never opened a projector, so I'm not going to walk you through it as I do not know how hard it would be to tinker with. It should eb a cheap fix for a true repair man though.
