The specs on this unit do not show a FDD. If you see it in the Device Manager, It means that it is enabled in the BIOS. You can disable if you wish.

You can install a FDD in one of the 3.5 slots. the drives cost lesthan $20.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

probably wrong buss speed or memory configuration. may need to have HP specific RAM. the older machines can be rather picky about 'proprietary' Ram configuration. have an older Compaq laptop that accepts (it fits in the slot), from a Dell laptop, but doesn't like it!
Boot-up shows it as extra Ram, but shut down gives me weird vertical colored bars and i have to shut down manually. you may want go online, if you can, and order HP upgrade Ram for your desktop. perhaps you should replace your system with a newer desktop! sounds rather old to me! no offense- we make do with what we have! my first computer was a commodore vic20- 1981! then a c64- much better for the time-1982- then a c126- 1984. then Dos 1.0, Dos 2.0 Dos 3.0 Dos 6.6 windows 96, etc. even had Pong, Atari, NES (love dragon warrior 4) now p4 toshiba satellite-keyboard sucks!!. laptop. my wife has a desktop 3.2 G CPU 2G Ram .at least i'm portable!
So, consider an upgrade. check E-bay, or Craigslist.com.
what OS are you running? Win98? 2000? ME?

Extracting old files from computer discs.

I am not sure if I understand, but in the second statement you said that you have another large computer with large and small disc drives. Can you still open up the 5.25 inch foppy discs, and save it to that computer, and later extract it off using 3 inch floppy?

Hi I have a Atari ST home computer and the Keyboard dosent work? Is there a place in Sydney that I can get it fixed.

Not sure about Sydney.
It more than likely will cost you.
There aren't much in the way of parts with these guys.
However, these guys were discontinued in 1993.
alot of Video pre and post production in small studioa in the States used these guys.
This is a propritary PC. Meaning, unlike the PC's of today you cannot mix and match, and just install a driver to make the interface work.
Unless you have data that is crucial, I would hang it up and move forward.

( THIS IS ONLY FOR RCT3 AND RCT3 deluxe only ) Install the game when it is done (dont run it) Downlaod winzip 14 at http://www.winzip.com/downauto.cgi?o=1&file=http://download.winzip.com/winzip145.exe&email=your%20email&er=f When you have downloaded it go to C Drive in my computer and go into program files find atari click it and then go into Rollercoaster tycoon 3 folder find RCT3 application Delete it out of the folder. Then go to http://www.4shared.com/file/giJlaWU_/RollerCoaster_Tycoon_3.html?err=no-sess Download now then when it has finished downloaded open that zip folder and you find 3 files and go into Roller coaster tycoon 3 folder the file with Application drag and drop that only file into the rollercoaster tycoon 3 folder in atari when you have done it exit every thing if you have normal RCT3 then it should work, Now im going to tell you how to fix Deluxe edition basically do the same as what i said but now go to http://search.4shared.com/q/1/rct3plus.zip Download it, when it is done drag and drop that zip file into winzip and find the file that says application before that delete the application in Atari rct3 folder and find the application RTC3plus delete that one and replace it with the application in winzip and drag it and drop into the folder and there you are alllll done and it should should should work. Dont listen to these **** that say its registry problems and dont download any registry clean up programs you doo not need them. Hope it works Good Luck !!!!!!!!!
