everytime i turn my new camera on, it turns off. ive tried changing the batteries and still am having trouble!!

my silver coolpicx digital camera has just stoped working all of a sudden. with the lense is stuck half way in and out.

relatively new camera.....red lite blinks when trying to turn on....changed batteries...zoom lense sticks out...won't go back in....what's wrong???

GuruI had problems with the contacts in the battery case but could stretch/bend
the contacts further out and the problem seems to go away for a while.
