In the viewfinder, at the top: Just to the left of the middle is the shutter speed. To the right is aperture.

Do you mean the viewfinder or the LCD? To turn on the LCD, press the Start/Stop button at the back (near the viewfinder).

Viewfinder dark

Lens aperture may be set (or stuck) at the smallest lens opening, or the camera may be in stop down mode. Without a specific model number I can not be more specific.

The viewfinder on my Panasonic PV-DV200 needs to be cleaned. I have the instruction manual but I cannot get it to turn the 1/8 turn recommended to remove

Hi, My PV-DV200's viewfinder needed cleaned too. Try, try and try again. The entire viewfinder assembly will turn, but if it's never been removed before, it will be on extremely tight. My viewfinder has a small notch at about 1 'o' clock on top. That notch needs to be turned to about 11 'o' clock. Once there, the viewfinder slips off easily. It will come off much easier from then on.

However, simply cleaning the removed viewfinder may not be enough. You may also need to remove the two small screws on the underside of the piece that's still attached to the camera in order to get inside there and clean that too. I removed the small rectangular glass and cleaned that and behind there as well. I used a Rayban cloth (needs to be lint-free) and some Plexus, along with a dull pencil in order to get everything cleaned all along the sides of each lens.

Just double check and make sure all parts of the viewfinder are clean by slipping everything back into place prior to screwing it all back on. This will save you some time because you will probably not get everything cleaned on your first attempt.

Hope this helps!

When I look through the eye hole of the Canon Rebel t1i, the view and numbers of the eye hole are blurry even though everything is auto focused, and when I take the picture, it's clear. Why is the eye hole...

There's a diopter adjustment knob just to the right of the viewfinder. Turn it while looking through the viewfinder at a blank wall until the numbers in the viewfinder appear sharp. This knob allows the camera to adjust for individual eyesight.

Powershot pro1 viewfinder show blank white

Hi
When the LCD screen is open the viewfinder will switch of and when it is closed the viewfinder will switch on. You can switch between the two by pressing Monitor select button to the left of the Eyepiece (Viewfinder). as you look at the back of the camera.

Hope this helps.

LCD screen stopped working

sounds like the LCD screen viewfinder may have been twisted or accidentally catched or got hooked or snagged on on something at one stage and pulled something, if the screen went yellow it means the three wires going to it are possibly broken or the small white clip was slowly coming undone inside the Viewfinder for the red and green to no longer work to complete the image also indicates why the buttons on the viewfinder are not responding, try twisting the viewfinder very lightly whilst on, but most likely the small white clip holding the wires has come off at the elbow inside the camera
