SOURCE: labtec speakers want play

check whether the output plug is connected properly or not.... if it is then check out whether the adapter is giving the power output.... if it is then the speakers are spoilt otherwise u can just replace the adapter...

Have old labtec cs 1000 speaker system with power control center. separate volume controls do not work. Volumn adjustment with computer sound control only. cannot find instructions for hookup. suggestions?...

There are two sets of inputs in the back. One set will allow control from the front of the unit, and the other from the computer. In That case, the front knobs are disengaged.

Labtec mic plugged in but not working

• Check all connections for the "(type of microphone)" , make sure the microphone switch is set to the microphone button. • If you are running windows® 95 or later, check the microphone volume settings. 1. Go to the start button, All programs, Accessories, Entertainment(multimedia), then Volume control. 2. Make sure the microphone volume isn't set to mute.
3. go to options, then Properties..., select the button next to Recording
4. go to start button, All Programs, Accessories, Entertainment(multimedia), then click on Sound recorder to test your microphone.

Driving 2 sets of speakers with an external volume control on one set.

I think it's a bad idea to use a simple potentiomenter to do what you want to. You'd be better off using another amplifier with RCA cables in between them. It's not hard to find an old amp that you could use these days.

Headphone volume?

Unfortunately, I believe this is by design. The knob does not control the volume of the headphone jack on those speakers. The best you can do is set the volume control in Windows so that the headphone volume is acceptable and turn the knob up higher for speaker listening.

Logitech X-530 speakers

go to start -> control panel -> sound and audio devices. in the volume tab, speaker settings area click advance. make sure the speaker setup is 5.1 .if not, select 5.1 and click ok. now cilck advance in device volume area. u should c a volume slider for rear and front speakers. if u dont c the volube slider, click options->properties.in the show the volume controls section put tick on the rear and front boxes. clik ok. and check weather they are not mute and increase the rear and fron volume to a decent lavel. there may be also sound card specifi settings that might need to be re-configured if this does not work let me know the name and model of ur sound card. My speakers all work, but the subwoofer sound lowers when they are all working

Hi, pls don't get me wrong, but might it be that you are just hearing more of either the front or the rear since they operate on the frequencies our ears are attuned to with the sub just producing the low ones. Other than that, might it be also the placement of the speakers? The front and/or rear are placed relatively higher than that of a sub woofer hence closer to the level of your ears and therefore you can hear them more distinctly while the sub being lower, you probably feel it as well as hear it but not as loud. Since all of them are working albeit the sound level, I can think of no other explanation. If however this is not the case before and that this problem just recently came up, then may I suggest that you bring the set to a qualified service personnel since this involve checking out the individual amplifiers and their attendant electronic circuitry. If you are comfortable working down to component level, you would probably have to start with determining how many amps are inside the unit and diagnosing each one including the PSU. Far chance as it may be, there is a possibility that the PSU is not able to supply the current demands when all the amps/speakers are working. Hope this be of some help. Pls post again how things turn up. Regards.
