I have a problem with clarity of sound out put from my Creative 2.1

You need to raise the feed dogs. It sounds like you have them down for embroidery.

The manuals are terrible clarity!

you need to either
1. uninstall the MS patches.
2. locate the patch which is causing the issue ( you can use, selective login for this)
3. or you can put latest patch from Dell/creative for the creative sound card

you have the real driver for your sound card if yes therefore unpluck the sound card then repluck it eventually after putting your computer off .then after you ve repluck it put it on and introduce the driver into the cd rom and instal it
