Hi

If you have installed a sky magic eye, i am assuming you have taken a sky feed from the RF outlet of the back of the sky box to view sky in another room, if this is the case, this is an analogue feed which you would have to tune in manually to the second tv, this would suggest that you havent lost the digital signal you just have you second tv selected on analogue. On the assumption your system is connected like the following;

Sky box connections

Main aerial input
sky sat input
rf out to second tv

HITACHI 55HK6100U SMART TV REMOTE CONTROL CAUSES INTERFERENCE ON PICTURE

There is a post about this issue on the AVI blog. There are several people that have had the issue. No one claims a fix for it though. Seems to be related to HDMI cables and how close they are to the remote extender runs.

Sky Magic Eye not working over SLX 8 way booster/spliter

have you got it set on second out put on the sky box as number one is just normal. all cables have to be set to second output using a splitter box . so its like this.
arial in booster.
out booster to sky box.
out to tv/etc on first output on sky box.
second out put to spliter linc. ( eg 4 rooms out four way splitter)
each room with sky eye fitted to end of the aerial from number feed from sky box.
with each room with Eye sky can be controlled
also check that RF outlet power supply is set on sky+ or HD in settings menu.
access this.
settings
select ( remote)
type 01 (select on remote)
RF outlets.
RF outlet Power Supply ON
RF channel 25 ( is best for most areas)

Lost our freeview. New TV in bedroom (Sharp LCD, LC-19SH7E-BK), which has freeview and was working fine. However, we set up a magic eye so we can have SKY (which we can now use through channel...

if you have connected your sky box as per instructions, putting the aerial coax to it and a fly lead(as in a male to female coax as used on a vcr to tv) from the output to the tv's aerial input, then disconnect the aerial from the sky box and put it back to the tv. The skybox will weaken and even loose the signal.

Hi, I have a digital tv plugged into an extension cable in an upstairs (Toshiba) bedroom; it works perfectly - receiving all channels. I have a digital tv downstairs (Samsung) where it seems the wall...

Hi Fiona
Somewhere along the line from the aerial there must be a signal splitter that feeds the upstair and downstair terminals.
Try to find that splitter and switch the output to see if the problem goes from up to downstair.
If it does switch then you know the problem is with the splitter block, and if it stays the same then the problem is with the cable and/or the connectors that run downstairs.
Also the reason you get a pixellated(snowy) picture is because of signal loss during the length of the cable you ran downstair.
If running a cable downstair becomes the best option to fix your problem , then you could buy a cheap 10db signal booster/r.f amplifier to correct the signal loss and a cable splitter to feed both tv`s
That booster would be installed upstair in your case(near the source of the signal to be amplified).
I could send you a small diagram if need be. Hope this will help and Merry Chrismas

Had working sky remote in bedroom, now no remote sky operation from upstairs, is there a secret installer code to switch this function on?

Have you got a magic eye in the bedroom,if so the little red light should be on,if it is not then you are not getting a signal from the main box.You need to check the 2nd rf output is switched on in the main box.

Sky magic eye not working on hd

I work for Sky as an Engineer.

on your Sky HD remote:

service,
4,
0 1 select
4
make sure the power is turned ON

now go to the room you can not change the sky channels over with.
you should notice on the magic eye itself should now have a Red led light on it now. you should now be able to change the channel over just remember to press the blue sky button on the remote at the top otherwise this will not operate the sky box.

If not unplug this magic eye and try this directly into RF out 2 to make sure that its not the magic eye that is at fault. If it is working correctly then the light will appear.

Hope this helps

Stopped receiving sky on second tv - does my samsung need a reset

I install a lot of magic eyes etc.

You have checked that the magic eye lights up when it is connected directly into the sky box. So your eye is working correctly.

the next step I would take is with your sky remote in your main room. press SERVICES, 4, 0,1, SELECT go to RF settings and check the rf channel and make sure the power is on. Take a mental note of the channel number.

Now go into the room where the link is feeding. Turn on the TV and go to channel number 6 press your MENU button and then go down to setup. go across to manual install and then down to the channel number type in what you retrieved from you box ie rf channel and then type it in and STORE.

If you go into your main room and just put the normal tv guide on ie blue screen. then check that your getting the sky into the other room. IF you are then great it just needed tuning in. IF not I would remake the coax connectors. as there may be a bit of copper braid touching the centre core. once this is done your sky should be on all you need to do now is put the eye back on. Once you have done this the red light should appear on your magic eye. if not go to your main box and follow the first instructions I gave you and turn the power off on the RF and then save and then go back in and turn it back on and save.

Hope this sorts out your problem

Cheers

Sky upstairs

Yes on the back of the box there is a RF2 output...

run a coaxil aerial cable from there to your required TV, you then need to tune the 2nd tv to the sky box.

You can also buy a 'Magic Eye' and a 'extra remote' this will allow you to change channels from the second destination with only 1 digi box.

Down point is that you have to watch the same channel on both tv's.

a second card and box and a dual LNB will allow you to watch seperate channels.

Kenmark tv/dvd combi

if the magic eye is used in conjunction with an aerial cable you have to retune one of the analouge channels .
this should be in the opperating manual.
if you no longer have this try www.tvs-services.com
