Generic problem for all NEC Phones

Hi,
Was wondering if you can jumper 2 NEC ETW-8E-1A (No LCD Display) to work together? Only one phone to be used at a time. One in the Office and the other in the workshop. Or do you have to program 2 lines out as the same ext?
