What you could do is to open the start menu - click Search and give/search for explorer.
You will now see a list of icons etc containing the word explorer.
You will for sure recognize the Icon for explorer8.
Now you right click on the icon - use the copy function.
Close down the search function and place the cursor on the desktop - right click and chose the Insert function.
Your startup icon is now placed on your desktop

Firstly uninstall the internet explorer and reinstall it. After that set your home page to whatever you want, to set your home page, follow this steps, click Tools on the Menu - Internet Options - on the General Tab just below the "Home Page" type the url address of your desired home page, click apply and the ok.. This will solve your problem. Also check your ad-ons tool bars, and remove unnecessary tool bars.. Good luck..

for the http error 404 you can use another search engin instead of explorer8, as Mozilla Firefox.this problem create when the signal strength is slow or the connectivity of the network is poor.

I would like to tell you, IE8 is in Testing phase and so it is better to uninstall it.


Ok , you can try 3 things.
Reset IE

1. Click on Start >Run and type inetcpl.cpl (it will open Internet Options) Need to go to Advanced Tab and reset it.
2. Other thing is that can uninstall IE8 using this command .

Uninstall IE

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type %windir%\ie8\spuninst\spuninst.exe, and then click OK.
3. Follow the wizard instructions to uninstall Internet Explorer8
