How do you fix phones that fell in water?

try using a hair dryer on low setting on phone to dry it out and placing the phone in a jar for a while with raw rice. Electronics and water do not mix so it may not work you may have damaged circuitry beyond repair.

Water

You can put it in rice, the rice will drain the water out this is how (1) Remove it from the water immediately. (2) Turn the iPhone off. (3) Dry it off with a towel (4) Grab a bowl and fill it with uncooked rice or you can also put your phone in with a bunch of silica packets. (4) Put the phone in the bowl of rice and cover it up. The purpose of this is to draw moisture out of the phone as quickly as possible. You can also let it air dry, however the above methods will work faster. NOTE: Do not dry it off with a blow dryer as this could melt the circuit board and other parts. Leave your phone in the rice for at least 24 hours and preferably 48 hours. Hopefully, after 24 -48 hours the phone will have dried out, the logic board wasn't damaged, and hopefully you can turn your phone on and it will work. If not, your next option is to see if it can be repaired without costing you an arm and a leg.

I dropped my phone in water... And it won't turn

It's an electronic device so it would be very difficult if it'll fell in water. first remove its shell and then get a hair dryer and turn it to low. carefully blow dry the insides of your phone. if you are using an iphone it would be best to consult a phone tech.

What to do if the celfone fell in the water?

Take the battery out immediately and put your phone into a container of rice for the rest of the day. Make sure you do not power it back on for at least 24 hours. Because of it coming into contact with water, your warranty is most likely void now.

My Kyocera XTC fell in some water on Saturday morning, I removed it out of the water and immediately removed the battery, I wiped and shook out as much water as possible then used the blow dryer to dry...

If it was not totally dried before turning it on again, probably it got damaged. you can try to completely dry the phone before trying to use again.
Here is the procedure to take out all moisture trapped in the phone: wrap each piece, phone and accessories, in newspaper. Place a few handfuls of rice into a plastic bag and then place the wrapped phone in the bag with rice. The newspaper wrapping avoids direct contact of rice with your phone because the dust from the rice can get into the small areas of the phone. The newspaper and rice will absorb moisture. Leave it there (with the bag open) at least 24 hrs. Hope this helps!

My samsung rant fell in some water is their any way to fix that or no

disassemble it as much as you can. leave it in a dry warm environment for about a week to dry out. put it back together in about a week. charge up the battery and power it up. cross your fingers it may work.

p.s. was it on when it fell in the water ?

My phone got wet

Try removing the battery, using a blow dryer to air everything out in battery compartment. If there are any tiny screws or way to open up the phone itself, open it up, and blow everything inside there too.

Let it dry out completely and then see if it will work again. My guess is no, because once the circuits get wet, they are pretty much damaged and irrepairable.

Hope this helps at least some. Good luck!

My blackberry world fell in water quickly

Same trouble with my Curve a few months ago. You are likely going to have to get a replacement.

Once the damage is done, it's done. For future reference, the longer you can afford to let it dry out (a week or more even), the better chance it will work and keep working.

Nokia N70 fell in the toilet

To help drying out the phone, I suggest taking the phone apart. (i.e. battery, sim card, back cover, etc) putting it all into a container of rice, Use a container that you can put a lid on. Let the phone set in the rice for a couple of days. The uncooked rice will draw the moisture out of the equipment. This will dry it out, but whether or not it shorted the unit out is your next step.
