Have E Machine ET1161-05 trying to install Kodak ESP6150 computer does not find printer

While installing the printer just switch off the printer and try to install the printer driver completely, When the software will ask you to connect the printer then only switch on the printer. If this way still you are getting the same problem then connect the printer in other usb port or use different USB cable

Need help connecting my printer to my computerWhat's your problem?

turn off your computer. plug in your printer to power. plug the printer cord into printer and then into computer. turn on your computer. if you have the cd that came with it place it into the cd drive once the computer boots up. your computer should detect the new equipment and walk you through the set up wizard. if not go to the control panel and "add hardware" to tell your computer to detect the new equipment which will start the install wizard... good luck!

How to install the printer

Install a printer.

There are several ways to connect a printer to your computer. Which option you choose depends on the device itself, and whether you're at home or at the office.

Always consult the information that came with your model for specific instructions.

Local printers

The most common way to install a printer is to connect it directly to your computer. This is known as a local printer.

If your printer is a universal serial bus (USB) model, Windows should automatically detect it and begin installation when you plug it in.

If you're installing a wireless printer that connects to your computer over a wireless network (Wi???Fi), you can use the Add a device wizard to install the printer. For instructions, see Connect to Bluetooth and other wireless or network devices.

If it's an older model that connects using the serial or parallel port, you might have to install it manually.

Exactly which port do you plug the printer into on this dell xps 410 ???

It depends on the kind of connection the printer has. Most newer printers will have a USB connection. You can plug your printer into any open USB port on the computer. Some older printers will have a parallel connection (which looks wide and narrow). Your computer will have to have a parallel port for you to be able to use your printer.

Good luck.

All connections checked - still printer does not

Make sure you already installed the driver for the said printer on the computer you'll be using the printer on. You should have the driver on a CD with in the printer box. If you don't have the CD, you can download it in the support website of dell (support.dell.com). Also make sure that the printer is being detected by the computer using the USB. Try replacing the USB cable if not or use another USB port on your computer to connect the printer.

Network printer

First you ned to have a print server connected to your router for any network printer to work.
Also, you can set up printer sharing on a computer that the printer is plugged into. However this computer must always be on for you to print from any other remote computer.

X4550 vista wireless printing problem

Check the computer the printer is connected to.. go to printers and faxes.. right click on your printer icon...select sharing.....make sure the "share this printer " box is checked. You may need to install additional drivers if the other computers on the network are not running the same version of windows as the computer connected to the printer.

How can I set up wireless printer

To share the printer, I open the Printers and Faxes folder on the computer that was connected to my printer.

To open the Printers and Faxes folder

• Click Start and then click Control Panel.
• Click Printers and Other Hardware, and then click Printers and Faxes.
• In the Printers and Faxes folder. Click the printer's icon and, in the tasks pane, click Share This Printer.
• Open the printer's Properties dialog box, and click on the Sharing tab.
• Click Share Name, and then clicked OK.

That's it
Now you have a network printer, you are ready to connect to it and print from other computers on the network.

To connect to the printer

•O pen Control Panel, and click Printers and Other Hardware.
•C lick Add a Printer.
• Instead of adding a local printer, though, click Printer Connection and then browse the network for the printer.

My printer will not print.

Is there a cable physically connecting the printer to the computer? If so, do you see the printer in Printers and Faxes?
