I have a Canon MP460 printer and its telling me that it doesn't recognize my ink cartridge. I have even brought new ones but still tells me that it don't recognize ink cartridge. I have cleaned contacts...

U must be using PG40, CL41...

Well.... if you put brand new one, (not the compatible one) and see the same problem... that's something needs to be cared of by A/S center.

However, if you put in the compatible or refilled cartridge (anther one), still u will c the same e5 error.

E5 errror is something can't be solved....

Canon Pixma MP170 - replaced cartridges with Canon PG40 & CL41. The message on the screen says it cannot recogonize the cartridge. Why?

Make sure printer is off. You inserted the cartridge wrong. Pull it out re-insert and you should be fine. Sometime until you completely take the ac power off the printer it will not reset.

I got this message on the display (canon pixma mp170): "check ink u051"The cartridge is completely new and original. What can I do? Thank you in advance.

MP170 can only accept PG40, PG50, Cl41 & CL51 only. Please check the cartridge model correctly. if problem still persist, ask for replacement for the faulty cartridge.

What is the color match for my mp145? and how can i repair the line on every photo after i print. i do the deep cleaning, and others, but its still thesame. the line didnt remove

You may have to buy a new PG40 or CL41 carteidge.
These are chipped and tells the printer that the ink is exhausted.
The continuius system may have damaged the original cartridges

Need help with my printer canon MP190

I refilled my MP190 Black cartridge PG-37 by drilling a hole in the top (roughly in the middle) and using the syringe supplied with the ink refill kit. To make the printer work again, press and hold down the Stop/Reset button (on bottom right hand side of printer) for at least 5 seconds until the display reads 1 again. This bypasses the ink level detector and is explained in the trouble shooting section of the on screen manual supplied on the printer installation CD. It works. It then happened again with the colour cartridge, so I repeated the process. It worked again. This should also work for the PG40 and CL41 cartridges.

Canon mx310

Canon cartridges have an intelligent chipset to prevent them from being refilled. To have them working properly you need to reset the chipset.
Try the software on this link.
If the above did not work you will need to use a cartridge chip resetter if you want to refill your cartridge.
