Question about Nokia N70 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Keypad Problem hi there. my n70's keypad often fails to respond specially UP, LEFT, 1, 3, MEDIA KEY, C, and side button that is used for camera's image capturing. if one of the said keys is not responding the rest of the said keys won't also respond. but there are times that when one of the said keys is functioning then the rest of the said keys were also functioning. what should i do with this??? pls help me because im quite afraid to bring it to a service center thinking that the problem will be solved for a while but the same problem might occur after a month or more. thanks in advance

How do i get the internet explorer message that appears from time to time off the screen of motorola mc3190 without having to shut it down

The key combination you looking for to close any window or message in a Windows environment is ALT+F4, depending on the type of keypad the Motorola MC3190G are using.

Please Note: Keypad functions can be changed by an application so the mobile computer keypad may not function as described.

48-Key Keypad

The ALT functions are indicated in blue on the keypad, so in order to use these, you have to activate the ALT Functions first by pressing the BLUE BUTTON (FUNC) (Right side below ENTER button) and then press the CTRL BUTTON (left side below BKSP button).

After the key combination is pressed, the ALT icon appears on the taskbar on WinCE devices or the ALT icon appears at the bottom of the screen on Windows Mobile 6.5 devices.

Now you can press the "D" button to use F4, this will close any window or message that is currently in view.

38-key Keypad

Press the blue FUNC BUTTON (Right side below RIGHT ARROW button), and then press CTRL button (Middle below UP ARROW button), now you can press the F4 button.

28-Key Keypad

Press the blue FUNC button (Bottom right next to Power button), and then press the CTRL button (Top right side below RIGHT ARROW button), now you can press number 4 to use F4.

Hope this helps, good luck.

Hello sir/madam , in my nokia n70 device the left navigation key and the buttons 1 and 3 does not work . up and down navigation keys are also not working . kindly tell me the right solution

Hi Friend!
The best advice I can give is that you bring your phone to a technician for check up. You might not want to tinker with your device on your own and end up with a dead unit altogether but if you wanna give it a try, the problem somestimes is a dirty or corroded keypad. Remove the membrane attached to the keypad and use a cleaning solution such as a paint thinner to clean the keypad surface. Use a piece of cotton with the solution. Another thing you should also check is the keypad connector. Check if it is properly aligned.

Numeric keypad does not respond.

make sure that the num lock is on. There are 5 indicator lights on the left side of the power button, the first indicator on the left is Num Lock, make sure this is lit up.

Buttons not working

The volume key is stuck that's why the volume bar keeps on popping out. It is also the reason why the keypad is not working. You have to unstuck the volume key to check if the keypad really doesn't work.
  1. Remove the battery cover and battery.
  2. Remove the camera cover by prying the locks along its sides and lifting it up to expose the volume keys.
  3. Insert a needle between the volume key membranes and the board to unstuck it. The membranes should click when pressed.
  4. Install the camera cover in reverse order.
Inform me if the volume keys work fine but the keypad buttons don't.

Keypad Chaimberlain 32B2171-1 does not work any more

You can try programming but if it still doesn't work then your keypad is just bad. Locate the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. Press and immediately release it and then walk over to your keypad and key in your 4 digit code and press enter.

Doubt its a fuse. Most likely the key pad has failed and needs to be replaced. On the bright side this is a good problem to have and you have a very reliable car.
