Controller Problem When i plug my controller into the system, whatever i am doing starts to go to the right and i cant stop it. If i am playing a game, my player moves right. If i am selecting something, the selector moves right. If i unplug the controller, the problem stops. I tried this with another controller and have the same problem. I also tried it in both controller slots. Please help.

Most probably the controller's carbon button inside the controller is already worn out and is sticking on the controller's printed circuit board (PCB) there are some replacement carbon button that can be bought for a cheap price

or

if you are using an analog controller, check if the analog stick is loose in feeling, this might affect the controls as well because good working analog sticks are a little stiff when pushed

Trying to play Call of Duty 1 playstion2 on PS3

Some games will do this if you are holding the control-stick any direction while starting the system.

Next time you play it, try holding the stick just slightly in the opposite direction to compensate as you start the system, or unplug the controller-hold the stick down, then plug back in ( while playing )

If that doesn't work, it might be time for a new controller. Or you could open it ( disconnect first ) and check around the stick for anything that might be pushing it up.

I inserted a new movie and I have no sound nor video with a green and blue lights on.

I had this weird problem yesterday knowing I have not done any video setting changes, nor recall a pending software installation. When I start the PS3, green light comes up and then nothing happens. Insert the Game into the slot, blue light blinks and again nothing happens. No video, no sound, and no, it’s not output setting problem as many others have guessed in forums. Try to assign your wireless controller and you’ll know. It doesn’t. If it was on, output and controller assigning I assume should be two separate things.
Solution:
  1. With the PS3 in Standby mode (Red light on), press and hold the Start button until you hear a single beep, followed by double beeps.
  2. Connect the controller using USB cable and press the PS button on the controller.
  3. Now, the system restore screen (or whatever they call it) will come up like this

  4. You have several options here for restoring the system, some will unfortunately wipe up all your data, others will make you lose the file naming. For me, I tried the option top-bottom and eventually had to do the Restore PS3 System. Luckily, all I had were demos, trailers, and game saves. only game I was really playing now was Prince of Persia. I felt terrible still though, but much better than if I was playing Ninja Gaiden or MGS right? Or let’s say a game Fallout!
Sharing it for others with same misfortune. Guess we’ll need the PS3 included in the backup plan then.

My controller turns on and it just shows a green circle

try pressing the circle button on top of your controller right next to where you plug in your play and charge cable and you should see a little white button hold it and there is another one on your xbox right next to the second memory card slot. Press and hold that one to till both your xbox and controller start blinking and your controller should be fine

Only one controller can work at a time

You will need to pair the second controller. To do this power on your ps3 as normal with the controller that works, then plug in your second controller via usb and press the "PS" button. The red LED's should flash and then the second led should stay on.

You should be able to play normally.

Controller

I do not know about the controller turning off but the walking may be caused from holding over on the nunchuck while you plug it in, it happens with game cube controllers if you hold a button when plugging them in and for the game cube controller you can hold start, X, and Y for about 3 seconds to reset the controller and thatt fixes it, but I am not sure for the Wii remote. I suggest playing brawl with a gamecube controller
