tick Auto Recover RAM from inactive applications
If free RAM goes below 70 MBytes
pause between recoveries 3 minutes
tick Postpone, etc
CPU threshold = 70%

Is the hard drive seen ?
Click start control panel scroll to folder options view place a tick in show hidden files folders and drives
There are also Data Recovery programs that might be very helpful to recover your important information.
