Drivers How do I get drivers for the PNY 4GB Optima Pro Attache to work on a Windows 98 SE computer?

I have Win 98SE as well and have the same problem, wanting to use larger capacity drives with my PC, which works fine otherwise. So how exactly do you "force the install"? Do you first need to copy the drivers onto the PC, or just go right to hardware? And how is it backwards compatible to USB 1.0?

Go to ADD HARDWARE and try to force the install.

Just so you know, Optima Pro Attaché USB 2.0 Flash Drive was designed with Windows Vista in mind, and works in conjunction with new SuperFetch (intelligent caching) to enhance system performance for quicker startup and windows multi-tasking.
But it's also compatible with most PC/MAC laptop and desktop computers with available USB 2.0 port (Backwards compatible to USB 1.0).

NOT RUN 4GB PEN DRIVE IN MY COMPUTER . OS : WINDOWS 98 PEN DRIVE MODEL : TS4GJF330 MAKERS : TRANSCEND

Windows 98 didn't have drives that large, they stopped at 540Mb. The software doesn't know what to do with it.
If there is a BIOS update for the motherboard, it may help to recognise it also drivers will be an issue with an OS of that age.

Pny Optima Attache Flash Drive suddenly locked

look for a slider on the flash drive, I had a pny flash drive that had a slider that when enabled would protect the flash drive from accidental erasure or modification of the files.

I can not get my cd rom to work in my puter it is a window 98 se .

Welcome to FixYa. My name is Steve. The surefire way to see if your cd rom will work with your computer is to boot your computer with the windows 98 start up disk and choose the option to start the computer with cd support. If you do not have a start up floppy you can make one using the Microsoft instructions at this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/187632 If your cd works with the generic drivers loaded with that Start up floppy then you need only to locate the drivers for your cd rom which you have not yet specified as to the brand and model number. Post that info if you need more help. Steve Medley

hi your computer is not seing the driver of your sound card, you may need to download updated driver for it, you can search for the drivers of your sound card online, you can also find that on the computer manufacturers website.

to see the status of your devices go to device manager for more info.

right click on my computer icon>properties>hardware tab>device manager.

you can also uninstall, reinstall, and update device drivers here.

hope this helps.

Windows Vista Home Premium will not let me open PNY Optima Pro Attache 4GB

the files from XP may or may not be readable on vista...and I can assure you vista files will not read on xp..

recommend you get two of those.

no guarantees of interchangeability from xp to vista(why am I not surprised?)
