Make sure you clean it often. Also, try using a thread with a lower lint output. I know some of the thread I use has a coating on it to keep it from causing too much lint and clogging the machine.

The cotton keeps getting caught up in the bobbin area

try these suggestions
1. change needle--flat side to the back of the machine
2. needle must the correct one for the fabric
3. check the bobbin to make sure it's not damaged or warped
4. check the bobbin case( the thing that holds the bobbin) to see if there
are any burrs on it or see if it's damaged is some way
make sure the bobbin case fit's snuggly into the hookrace
5.it's also possible that the machine could be out of time

I am having trouble with my bobbin . When I put into the sewing machine and begin to sew the cotton just bunches up and jams . Any suggestions

Hello,
Here are a couple of things to try.

* Un-thread your machine and remove your bobbin. Clean any loose thread or lint out of your
bobbin case. Re-thread your machine, reinsert and re-thread your bobbin.

* Change your bobbin
There could be a nick along the edge of your bobbin spool that’s catching your thread as you
sew.

* When you start to sew a seam, grasp the upper and bobbin thread tails. Hold them back
and out of the way as you sew your first couple of stitches. This will keep them from getting
caught in your machine.

Hope this helps.

Cotton keeps getting knotted from the bobbin

upper tension is wrong or upper threading is wrong (problem is always on the other side of the bunched thread)

There should be a small screw on the side of your bobbin case adjust it little by little until you get the correct tension.

The bobbin is getting caught and needle is jamming

This sounds like there is cotton stuck in the bobbin holder. Check it thoroughly. Take the bobbin out and turn the wheel to lower the needle a few times. This will show up any thread caught. Pull it out gently. You may have to perservere to get it all out.
