Have you thought about using the flash??? In low light you may not be able to hold the camera steady enough to take pictures without using a tripod.

If you want to change the colour ballance of the camera, look in the user manual. It is a little bit involved. I would recomend using the flash instead.

When i take picture, the picture is white n some time become very very bright, but if take video is ok.

this can be usually associated with your white balance in still camera mode.
Check to see your white balance is set correctly or just set it to auto. Also make sure the mode you are in it set. (ie. indoor, outdoor, auto, speed)

My canon power shot a2200 camera pictures are tinted pinkish or yellowish

The quickest solution to this problem would be to do a factory reset for the settings on your camera. By pressing the menu button, use the zoom lever to choose the tools tab, then use the up and down buttons to choose [Reset All] and then press the [Func Set] button. Then use the left/right buttons to choos [OK] and press the [Func Set] button again.

Don't worry, this will not erase any of the pictures you have on your camera.

The pictures all have a blue cast to them, with flash or outdoors.

You have the colour balance set to "indoor" or "tungsten". The camera is compensating for the yellowish cast that you get from indoor lighting. You should set the colour balance to "auto" and the camera will cope with all lighting situations automatically.

What is the right set up for my sony cyber shot 6.0 for a better quality picture?

There is no such thing as "the right setup". If there were, there would be no need for any of the different settings.

The appropriate settings depend on things such as the subject, the light, and the message you want your picture to convey. Would you want a picture of kids playing ball to look the same as one of a couple cutting a wedding cake?

Sometimes you want a picture to have a deep depth of field, other times to have a narrow depth of field. Sometimes you want a picture to be bright, other times you want it to be dark.

Check out your local public library. You'll probably find several books on introductory photography. They'll tell you what effect the various settings have on your pictures. Then you can start applying them to your pictures to make them say what YOU want them to say.

Yellow cast to indoor pictures, when I take pictures at my kids baskteball games and other indoor events, concerts, etc, the picture has a yellow tone to it, like the light is not sufficient, but it is...

This is most likely the White Balance, if the pictures look yellow under artificial light.

I cannot find a manual online so I do not know if you can set the white balance yourself.
If you can, set it to artificial light. Remember to set it back for normal shooting.

You might like to try the Indoor Scene Mode, this should set it for you.

Hope this helps.

My pictures are turning out blurry and sometimes it does a double flash when I take pictures. How do I change the settings so that on i-auto mode, the pictures will turn out clearer.

Are you moving when you press the shutter button? Do you press the button half-way and allow the camera to lock in the focus (it will beep) before pressing the rest of the way?

Yellowish tint on faces, shadows, gold backgrounds

Check the white balance setting of the camera. As you have a yellow cast, it could be because you are using it in Fluorescent (or Tubelight) setting. Changing this to Auto should solve this problem.

Dark downloads

I don't have this camera so I'm not sure about your pictures being dark but. There is an easy way to fix them in bulk.

Google makes a great application called Picasa that will let you do simple edits to many images at once.

I suspect you could lighten all your pictures easily with this software instead of one at a time.
