SOURCE: my shedder wont shedded

It could be you have a broken or stripped gear. If you can disassemble the rig and look at the drive mechanim, this should tell you what is happening. Availability of parts would be questionable. check the motor- is it turning, or are the bearings dried out and sticking? Check the mechanim for freedom of movement.

SOURCE: The paper is stuck in the shedder and now it will not turn on/off

Try reverse, forward, reverse a few times. If thet doesn't work, unplug it, turn the shredding unit off and pick out whatever paper you can see, both top and bottom. Watch your fingers, the cutters are sharp.

SOURCE: Teeth are bent and paper/material from credit card is jammed

One teeth are bent in this and other similar lower end units, they can't be fixed. Return it to the place you purchased it from and see if they'll be gracious enough to replace it. But these machines are not intended to handle a lot of the heavy guage stuff people put in them. The cost of a replacement cutter unit, if one can be located, would be more expensive than buying a new one.

If you can't get the paper shredder up and running, it looks like you might have to pick up a new paper shredder. Paper shredders can be pretty cheap though, great guide to cheap paper shredders here: http://hubpages.com/hub/Best-Paper-Shredders

How do you take apart a shredder it does not go forward

when my Aurora- AS662C shredder wouldn't go forward I assumed it had paper jammed into the blades -with it unplugged of course ,I removed 5 screws (back does not release) used tweezers to remove the jammed paper. When I initially pried it open- an off wt. plastic bar type thing fell out of it's place (on right side ) I set the plastic bar into it's place(if you look at you'll see how it set's into place, carefully closed the top making sure the bar didn't move and replaced the screws. I then ran papers through it -worked like new ! I almost bought another one and was about to throw it out ,figured I didn't have anything to loose . Best of luck -hope this helps

Modle AS662C year old, moderatly used. I just tried to use it and it will not feed the paper. It sounds like it is working but nothing is happening! Last thing shredded was one credit card. What could be...

I was having the same problem with my shredder. I called customer service; I was informed it was the gears on the inside of my shredder. My shredder is no longer under warranty. However, she is mailing me out the part I need for a small fee. Their customer service number is 1-800-327-8508 in the USA and international only 1-310-793-5650. I do hope this help you!

Jammed in Auto, but works fine in reverse. How to unjam?

Continue to alternate between auto and reverse a number of times. Try to shred narrower pieces of paper at opposite ends to see if it can trigger the auto trigger wire. All else fails, carefully take the shredding part apart and you may find a hugh paper jam underneath.

Our Aurora AS1712X paper shredder is jammed in a couple of places with paper so badly that we cannot free the jam and the tooth wheels cannot turn freely. Is there an easy way to clear the jam?

JAMMED SHREDDER

if you have reverse, run reverse.
if you don't have reverse, you will have to disassemble the drive shaft/cutters and clear manually

The motor on my shredder will only run in reverse

You need to remove the top section, make sure it's unplugged, and use a tweezers or very narrow needlenose pliers, and pluck out any paper chunks, and use canned air to blow out the paper dust. Reverse only means the chopper thinks there is paper jammed inside and will only run in reverse to clear the jam.

Runs continuously when in the on position.

there is paper jammed in front of the sensor. it was likely caused by feeding too much paper into the shedder at one time and now a chunk of shedded paper bits it blocking the sensor from seeing that the shedder is clear

Jammed shredder

try shredding a old card, carefully but forcibly push the jammed plastic strip through the teeth.
might be faulty alignment of teeth, a factory defect!

Shedder one works

This is an issue with the paper feed sensor which may be a electronic eye or a mechanical switch if it is mecanical you may just have to jiggle the switch a few times, occasionally paper may get stuck behind it not letting it activate. If it is electronic you have bad sensors or bad pc board and you'll have to contact the manufacturer for further info.
