Sorry for the late response been busy lately, have you also tried turning off the password protected sharing on your Windows Vista computer? Since you mentioned you have a wireless router, are both computers connected wirelessly?

I forgot my password

Hi,

If you have windows xp then here are the steps that you need to perform.

1)Turn the computer off and then as soon as you press the power button to turn it on start tapping the F8 key repeatedly.Tapp the key until you get a blak screen that says advance boot menu options.
2)Select Safe mode and then enter
3)When you get the log on screen select administrator and then hit enter.
4)Once ur ont he desktop go to control panel???user account and then select the account that you log on to and click on change password.
5)Enter the new password and then restart the computer
6)Log in using the new password.

If it is windows vista or windows 7 then the only thing that can be done is a recovery that takes the computer back to its original factory settings .

All the best........

How do i reset my login password

We can not give you information on how to reset passwords. We can not give you serial keys or anything like that.

We cannot verify who you are. Giving you these things is considered hacking and is illegal.

My computer keeps restarting before loging in.

The fact that it does it at th same point each time would suggest a software error.

You should start in safe mode and see if you can get in that was (F8 whilst booting)

If you can get in then check for any recently installed software and remove it (esp toolbars)

While you are there run you anti-virus and any other clean up tools you have. when you are don't try again to start up the computer. If you see any error messages then take full note of them as they may well help others to help you

Try This :

Do a sytem restore of your C Drive. this is not a garuntee but it might work:

XP:

To use System Restore to restore Windows XP to a previous state, follow these steps:
  1. Log on to Windows as Administrator.
  2. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore. System Restore starts.
  3. On the Welcome to System Restore page, click Restore my computer to an earlier time (if it is not already selected), and then click Next.
  4. On the Select a Restore Point page, click the most recent system restore point in the On this list, click a restore point list, and then click Next.

Note A System Restore message may appear that lists configuration changes that System Restore will make. Click OK.
  5. On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, click Next. System Restore restores the previous Windows XP configuration, and then restarts the computer.
  6. Log on to the computer as Administrator. The System Restore Restoration Complete page is displayed.
  7. Click OK.

Lost my right as administrator

You have done big mistake that's why you are getting problem.

1)Regarding installation of win XP over windows vista.
You have to install first lower version and then higher version i.e. you should install first win xp and then windows vista. But vice-versa you can't do it.
So my suggestion is that format your c drive then install win XP
after installation win XP install win vista.

2) which operation system do you want to open .
You can remove it using windows tweak utility software wich is freely available on most of the website. Also you can manually edit it.
For manually do this.( i m not sure about windows vista it is available or not)
right click on my computer->click on Advanced Tab->setup and recovery framework click on settings->click on Edit button
You will see the boot.ini file. You can remove the windows XP line from that file.
