My blower motor resistor on my 2001 Dodge Durango keeps going out. I replace it several times a year. What is causing it to keep going out?

The resistor pack is inline with the blower motor. When you choose different fan speeds, you're really just sending the power through different resistor values to to limit the amount of power available to the blower - thus changing the speed at which it turns. If you're having to repeatedly replace the resistor pack, there's probably an issue with the speed selector switch, blower motor or wiring between the resistor pack and blower motor.

Air is not coming out of vents like it should. Could I possibly need a new blower motor?

Hello, it is possible that either the blower motor is running slow due to a weak capacitor or the blower motors bearings are giving out. I would replace the capaitor first since it is less expensive and see if it helps, if not the motor will need to be replaced. Also, make sure the filter is clean, blower wheel is clean before replacing the capacitor. Sometimes dirt will cause the wheel to turn slower.

My blower motor comes on but will not turn fan.

May be error code e-4. It's problem with blower motor mechanism fault. Replace if bearings worn out. or replace blower motor.

Am getting a EE-8 error message on toyotomi L30 do I need to replace the blower motor

Remove the fresh air hose from the back of the blower. Turn the blower fan with you finger or something to see if it turns easily. If it doesn't, then there may be an obstruction. If no problem there, check the wiring for the blower motor. I have replaced the bearing closest to the fan on these type of blowers and got them to work. The bearing close to the speed sensor can't be changed because you can't get the sensor off. If none of this fixes it then you will have to replace the blower motor.

Room blower motor is not working properly and the blower motor housing is too hot to touch. When power is disconnected from blower motor, blower motor housing cools.

I would say the motor is froze/locked up, Need to buy a new motor, all the information is on the motor itself. if this motor does have a capacitor I would replace that first. Good Luck Tim

Blower motor runs but dies out..

When it does this carefully feel the end of the blower motor. If it is too hot to touch,Replace the blower motor.
Your 5 minute off sequence allows the motor to cool enough for a restart.

Blower motor

Hill, which blower motor? The exhaust inducer or the room air blower? If you are referring to the exhaust blower, check for a restriction in either the fresh air inlet, exhaust pipe or condensate line. If you are referring to the room air blower and you already replaced the motor, it is most likely a relay on the control board. You will need to replace the whole board. More info is always better!
