I have a 2 megapixel camera : EW099AA. It suddenly stopped working when i updated windows. i plug-in it again into the usb but windows does not recognize it. i re-install the driver but still no result. it's seemed to be new with the XP sp3.

With the Camera and computer on, disconnect the camera and plug it in again. Hopefully the computer will show update Camera driver. If not go to the Control Panel and select Devices and Printers, right click on the Camera icon and select troubleshooter and follow the steps.

Double check the batteries, although the lights work and the computer sees it, the voltage could drop low enough to stop the sensors.

next, try another USB device in that plug. USB port can go bad.

If the port works, it could be the wireless USB connector starting to fail, if they are bumped to hard sideways it can cause loose connections internally.

then, you might just need to update drivers. Computer update s can conflict with drivers cause devices toss top working.

You have to update your BIOS from the PC manufacturing website. When they become outdated things randomly stop working. It is a KNOWN glitch.

If drivers are updated, make sure that there is no connection problem.
Also make sure that camera is working on other computer.

Try updating your drivers. Get them directly from the canon site. Also there are some firmware updates that have taken place since the release of the 350D. I have that camera and it is important to update regularly. When windows updates sometimes it can blow out the driver for your camera.

Just take my advice and skip using the software and drivers for the camera. Simply buy a card reader from a store and use it. It will install as a mass storage device. Most operating systems do not require a driver for these devices.
Once you plug in the usb card reader, copy the files to a folder on your computer. Then they can be viewed or edited as needed or desired.

you need to reflash you OS on to the phone...

you can connect the phone using the usb cable to the laptop/pc/mac that you are using then open your desktop manager (blackberry).....open apploader then click on software update and upload the OS back to the phone this should work...it has for every phone

If the camera still works OK otherwise -- you caN BYPASS THE PROBLEM with coimputer recognition simply by removing the SD card, and reading it directly. Most notebooks have a slot for plugging in an SD card. Otherwise -- there are some very cheap SD card readers (<$5.00) -- insert your card, plug into USB Port, then (on Windows) select "Open Windows Explorer" select and copy your digital images to your PC.

If you're plugging the camera into a port on the front of your computer try one of the ports on the back. The front ports in most cases only provide 100 milli-amps of power whereas the back ports provide the full 500 milli-amps of power. This could be the problem or it could be your USB cable. Try a different cable and see if that makes a difference. Just make sure that you aren't plugging it into a USB hub and you're connecting it directly to a port in your computer.
