If you want a PCI (White in color slot) video card than click on this link. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/category/category_slc.asp?CatId=319&name=PCI-Video-Cards
Any one of these will work.
A, x1 PCI-E slot is brown in color. The link below will give you an idea what a 1x PCI-E card looks like.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815104008
You already know what the x16 PCI-E card looks like.

Still need help, just ask.

My ATI firepro V7800 makes continuous beeping noise. PC does not boot when I turn it on.....pls help!!!

1) Believe the continuous beeping you hear is a BIOS Beep Code, stating you have a graphics problem. Computer, not video card, is beeping.

2) Do you have the external 6-pin PCI-Express power cable plugged into the graphics card, from the Power Supply?

3) IF, your Power Supply does not have a 6-pin PCI-Express power cable, are you using TWO 4-pin Peripheral power cables, connected to a 6-pin PCI-Express adapter power cable?

To wit;

6-pin PCI-Express power cable example, and also showing a 6-pin PCI-Express adapter power cable on the right,

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#pciexpress

Example of a 4-pin Peripheral power cable,
(Misnomered by many as a 'Molex' power cable. Molex was the first company to make that type of connector. The name stuck, kind of like calling an adjustable open-end wrench a Crescent wrench),

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#peripheral

Note the color code of the wires used in a 4-pin Peripheral power cable, and a 6-pin PCI-Express power cable.

Red = 5 Volt wire
Yellow = 12 Volt wire
(All are DC Voltage)
Black = Ground wire. (ALL Black wires are Ground wires)

The 4-pin Peripheral power cable has ONE Yellow 12 Volt wire.
The 6-pin PCI-Express power cable has TWO Yellow 12 Volt wires.

The most power that a PCI-Express x16 expansion slot can deliver, is 75 Watts.

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#pciexpress

"This cable is used to provide extra 12 volt power to PCI Express expansion cards. PCI Express motherboard slots can provide a maximum of 75 watts."

http://www.playtool.com/pages/psuconnectors/connectors.html#pciexpress8

"The older 6 pin version officially provides a maximum of 75 watts (although unofficially it can usually provide much more)"

The ATI FirePro V7800 graphics card requires 150 Watts by itself.

The PCI-Express x16 expansion slot CANNOT deliver the recommended power (Wattage) needed, therefore an external power cable capable of delivering 75 Watts is needed.

What happens if you just use ONE 4-pin Peripheral power cable, in a 6-pin PCI-Express adapter power cable?

The PCI-Express x16 expansion slot contact pins -> BURN

The gold plated contact pins on the bottom of the graphics card -
BURN

The connection on the graphics card for the 6-pin PCI-Express power cable - BURNS

The contact pins in the 6-pin PCI-Express adapter power cable -
BURN

If it is too bad, and cannot be remedied by cleaning, the motherboard is TOAST, and so is the graphics card.

Want to buy graphic card having either PCI or PCI express x1 slot

Club3D has a 9500GT with 512MB on a PCI-e x1 slot, try looking around for it, it may be hard to find, it only launched this week and should cost around 75 euro or $110.

I hope this answers your question,

Hi lokarpit,

I've got good news for you! Your Presario's motherboard only supports Supports PCI Express x16 graphics cards, and your GeForce 8600 GT is a PCI Express x16 graphics card.

However, I'm a bit concerned about the graphics card being 1gb? Both Nvidia's 8600GT and 8600GTS came out with only 256mb GDDR3 memory on them. Are you sure you have the right card?

But, if you have one with 1gb, the motherboard won't care, it's the graphics card that actually, will either work all 1gb, or only the 256mb if it's been changed.

Good Luck to you, and my answer is as long as it's a PCI Express X16 card, Yes, GO FOR IT!

Don't forget the leave a rating based on my solution.

Does a Foxconn 633 m02 motherboard have pci express slots?

You have a Foxconn G33M02? then you have PCI express ports, so you'll need to look at pci express video cards to fit on your pci express x16 ports (the long pci-e port, probably blue colored) on your motherboard.

No signal possible compatibility issue

Thats some nice items you have there M8!:) your machine gona rock when you done whit it!:)
And yes, the card is compatible whit your MoBo!
On your mobo you have 7 slots, 2 blue ones, they are PCI Express gen2 x16 slots , 2 white ones (the smal ones), they are 3 PCI Express gen2 x1 slots and 2 white ones (the large ones), they are 2 PCI slot, support 3.3V/ 5V PCI bus Interface.
The card you have you connect in the forst blue one, the second is if you waht to use 2 cards and drive them as crossfire.

So connect the card in the fist blue slot!

Good luck!

BTW, here is the link to MSI for your card
