Question about Packard Bell Easy One Silver 2101 Notebook
Switch on fan and hard drive spin but no display can not get into bios not sure if the switches under the keyboard are set correctly did work and boot up when i got it ???
Occasionally this is an indicator that the hard drive has failed, it recognizes the hard drive and tries to boot from it, but the hard drive continuously spins without booting. Try removing the hard drive and going into the bios. If you can get to the bios without the hard drive, then the drive has failed and needs replaced. If you still cannot get to the bios, then the problem may lie with the motherboard or a corrupt bios and will need to be checked out by a tech. Also check the memory chips, rare, but occasionally this will cause these symptoms.
